Ok, so you look at the skill Quick Shot. Wow, nothing special huh? An arrow that goes 2 times faster? Well you could easily replace that with Favorable Winds or Read the Wind. Sure, it's 5 energy and 1 second recharge, but it's definately not worthy of an Elite...or is it?
Look harder. It only takes 1 second firing time. This makes it really really really good! You have a "Quick Shot". It can't be avoided, or barely can since it goes twice as fast, and it can be spammed with a 5:1 vamp mod or maybe Conjure Flame or something. How I use it, I have 13 Expertise lowering the cost down to 2 energy. Then I have a zealous bow mod, giving me back 1 energy, and then the other 1 energy recharges in 1 second, so it's like I never even used any energy. And that is why Quick Shot is an Elite skill.

Yes ppl dont really see the effectiveness of quick shot. I usually spam that shot with a vamp mod and use kindle arrows with conjure flame, or barbs, or mark of pain. This happens to be very effective giving u like somewhere around 30 extra damage

Quick shot is a great skill for all of those reasons but rangers fine barrage fun becuz of all the arrows you can shoot at once and its great dmg,but i can hide it no more ..... i use qs and heres how i use it.congur flame,ignite arrows(area dmg)dual shot,qs(quick shot),and i have not seen this posted but as soon as you do qs use savage right after it so its 2 fast shots and nice dmg.hope it helps

Hm, never thought about that. It could be utilized well witht he horn bow too because of the slower reload time.

I was messing around with that exact build last night. The damage was awesome.

theres no point using that, its almost impossible to dodge rtw/fw and a dual shot
