I say Runescape. But it isn't as developed as GW and GW graphics are alot better.
Btw, RS is free, and if youw ant memebers you pay $5 a month.

Dude, Guild Wars is the best you're gonna get without clucking down $15 a month to compete with cold farmers on WoW.

No. Lineage 2 is pay to play. You can play it free, but you have to play on one of the illegal free servers. Which means if they get caught and shutdown, good bye to all your hard work.

well it is not really like gw but I play also never winter nights (I know I know I know it is an old game) the premise of nwn on multi player is simple.
the guilds create a mod (persistent world) and then they go into the main multi player log in screen and you og in through there. most of them have "vault character" so one character can not be transfered from one server to another
depending on the type of server you would join, role playing, pvp, and I forgert the other one,,, you would get different types of quest.

D2 was a fun game...but so far for the value,(free online play!) I have to say GW is the best gaming experience I have had in my years of playing online.

You should take into consideration, the cost of these add ons / expansions / chapters... if you choose to buy them all, will be very similar in total cost to a pay to play.
£30/$50 per 6months = Pay to Play... the greatest advantage to GW over for example WoW, is the ability to opt out of upgrades... ANet give you the choice, unlike other ORPGs

WoW offers you a gamecard option rather than using your credit card to pay.
if you do not want to play for the next couple of months or you are going to be busy out of town or whatever, this is the advantage of the gamecard which is what i use.
So you dont HAVE to pay every month, only those months your gonna play.
I agree with you on the Add ons expansions every 6 months. Spot on.
And you call them steamed hams, despite the fact that they are obviously grilled?

I wouldn't say I know of any game quite like GW, the 8 skill limit system is very different, the non-monthly fee aspect is kinda unique (there are other games, but they are usually of much lower quality), and the 'everywhere is instanced' model isn't used in many Online Role-Playing Games.

MMORPGS that i have played would be Diablo 2 which was quite good kinda chaotic Runescape took up years of ma gaming life now that i look back IT SUCKS AND SO PISSES ME OFF THE HACKING SHITE HAS TO STOP SCUSE ME FRENCH
Guild Wars Rocks All Round but sucks how they Nerf some stuff yes i know the economic balance thing but GRIF FARMING WAS FUN 8-( R.I.P
WOW (World of Warcraft) im thinking about getting this i played warcraft 3 and find it quite intersting plus the Steed thing is pretty kwl
Neverwinter Nights
Confusing all round i dont get it but shud i give it time i mite be able to play it
Maple Story
No idea if this is classed as a MMORPG but its found at www.mapleglobal.com IT ROX and very addictive and !!FREE!! if you decide to play that add me SevenSwordz theres a video on youtube type in MrSimpson and theres a few decent ones there
Legend of Mir 3
this game is brilliant altho the monthly pay thing is a bugger its got a 14 day free trial though you can chose between Tao Sorcerer and a warrior its very big and takes a long time to complete that is if u can complete it
Dungeon Seige
this is a good multiplayer game altho not downloadable its retail but its really good good story lots of fighting and shiny spells :P
Myth Of Soma
myth of soma is quite good a bit like legend of mir but probably more fighting and more complicated also got a monthly payment thing going on there

hes saying runscape isint as good as GW graphics wise and that you have to pay sumthin like $5 to become a member altho theres free servers aswell(Legal)
