| Is factions a waste of money? |

Over the last day or two there have been many complaints or people moaning about factions. Post your opinions and say whether you think it is a waste of money and time.

it looks like a sweet game, but some of the recent nerfs that have occured are pissing me off... but i will still get it cus its always fun finding a way to farm where your not ment to

If you have played GW to the very end and there is nothing left to do, you will not waste any money on Factions. There are alot of opinions, but the only one you can trust is your own. Buy it and see how you like it. Comon now, its only $50 bucks people, not $50,000.
Edit: And also for the so called "nerfs" that have been done to Factions, well they have been done to ALL Guild Wars so whether you buy Factions or not you will have to live with these updates.

If youre not a sore loser about he MM nerf, and play to have fun, be in a balanced evironment, and are looking for playability, reliability, good graphics, an all around beautiful battle system, and arent someone who moans and groans about changes that make you adapt for the better then Factions PWNS. I havent gotten my copy yet, but ive been playing at a friends house and ive loved every minute of it. Its just pure fun.
+Cred back at you for seeing things clearly and understanding the true meaning of MMORPG gaming. ( I wnate dto cred your one post but the topic got locked )

I absolutly love Factions. The lands are so beautiful. The Tengu Mask is sexeh. The music is great. I haven't found anyhting I dislike in Factions yet. Well there is one thing.. everyone keeps saying they hate it in the Monastery... -_-

Factions is great and the whole point of nerfing the necro is people will experimetn with new builds with the assasin and ritualists. I have seen hardly and assasins around and that sucks! people just get over the necro nerf and move on with your lives!

Well said Immunis. I wanted to credit your other post but.. meh, you know..
The ONLY thing spoiling Factions for me is the WHINERS. Sheesh! ENJOY YOURSELVES! If you need to be led around by the bloomin' nose and feel the need to bleat "Baa!" then go find another game. I'm sick to the back teeth of hearing people moan. This is a GAME. It's your spare time, make sure you do something that you LIKE in it!
Anyway *coughs*.. I think Factions is WELL WORTH it's money, and I'll be getting my second copy sooner than I thought. I think it's gorgeous to look at, and enjoyable to wander through. I took my Tyrian warrior to Shing Jea Monastery, then helped a friend do the same later. We're wandering South with our rangers at the moment (our other halves have kind of 'borrowed' our other accounts which have our new characters on hehe) and picking up the odd quest here and there on the way. Seeing lots of different places and of course monsters. Enjoying it.
I just don't get how you could not like this...
Don't worry about EXP and LEVELS.. just enjoy yourselves. If you can't then you need to find another pastime..

I love it so far, the only thing I would say is that the graphics are killing my laptop; but thats my own fault for melting my PC xD

Factions is a great game. I love it so far. There are so many more things to do. I have put in about 8-10 hours so far and im not even at House Zu Heltzer or Cavalon yet because there is so much more to do. The storyline so far is great and i discovered where to get into FoW and UW. The armor is great, the tengu masks are great, EVERYTHING is great!

Factions is great from ive heard but dont you think the nerfs where necesarry? iff you have played 12vs12 in preview event you know that iff the battle was well on its way MM's would walking around with +40 minnions and a flesh golem add a dragon and your screwed iff you become a target off the MM you basicly were dead.

It's a really good game once you get off the main island you can really tell a big difference from the original game the levels are much more compact and interesting. From the late part of the island area and the rest of what i've seen so far it is much harder than the original game. after about 2-5 days it seems your expected to pretty much have a lvl 16-20 character and everything is high lvl stuff which makes it more interesting and challenging than just spamming 1 powerfull attack like in the last one thru most of the center part of the game. The only thing i dont really like about it is the lack of skill quests there seem to be very few and those were the only quests i really cared about. overall i'd say its a big improvement on the last one so if you liked original gw i'd suggest buyin factions

What do you do when you don't like a game? You DON'T play it. There is enough MMORPG on the market and no1 is forcing you to play GW... what? still there? Thats right, you're still in the GW districts complaining about how you can only press on the "animate bone fiend" skill 10 times instead of 40 times now or how you can't hold a gear in your hands to attract evrything that sees you while you keep pressing "Glads defence" hoping for your 10th Malinon's shield anymore because you know that in spite of the modifications (or nerfs), you can't deny that GW is one of the best "bang for you buck" out there.
Anet has always been about promoting balance and promoting Skill being greater than lvl or money. What they did with the MM or Gear/book/keg was to force you to think with your head a lil more so that you'd dig a lil more replay value out of your game. Cuz trust me, if they didn't rock the boat evry once in a while... Gw districts would be a lot more empty by now.
Now that this is settled and we can move on to the topic at hand. Yes Factions is worth it, if your still playing "Profecies" to this day, I assume that Profecies was worth your money, and you can only expect improvement in Factions. You're paying 50$ for 2 extra slots, more explorable areas, more skills, more monsters, more armors and weapons, more gameplay modes, improved graphics to a game that already looked awesome etc etc. So take 50$ in your hands, take a look at the other MMORPGS out there(most of the decent ones have a monthly fee) and look at Factions(no Montlhy fee). Wich game will get you further b4 you have to take out some more money out to cover next month's subscription on that other MMO?? now take that 50$, take the Factions box, ignore all the whiners (who havent played through the whole game b4 passing judgment) and have a blast man. Factions ftw!
