As GW GameAmp's official cartographer I've taken on the task of getting the map of Cantha up on the site ASAP. I'd like to have it up before anyone else. So if you guys would like to help me out I would really appreciate it. If you want to have a part in us having the cantha map before any other site does then please take a moment to take a screenshot of your map without any red markers on it and post it here. use your GameAmp User Image Gallery to be sure that the image will always be viewable.

Im happy to help, im gona hopefully run from the center to the Luxon 15k armor right now. So, anything inbetween I will be happy to donate to map! :D and anything else I find also :)

I'm trying to keep the iamges as high res as I can, and in doing that, I had to upload them to another server, instead of the gallery. I have the majorty of the Monastery island uncovered, all that I can do with a foriegn character. And I have some of the north-left part of the mainland uncovered from Mine and Tor's exploration. ^^

I know most of this area was posted before, but im just posting it with the cities on it, and the names so that you can puzzle together and make the best map possible :D Kanna has the best island maps though, so im not touching that. :)
Breaking the law is breaking the law. If you were simply "helping" a crack-head by selling him/her some crack, you are still comitting a crime. I am not saying that what you did is anything like selling crack though. Just saying...

ok i can undrstand that, ill change the link on the post and if you want i can email them but who knows what they will say, but then am i right in thinking, any shot of gw/f is breaking copyright law? i.e screen shots, photos of books, boxes, content, videos..?
im not in to the law side of things.. but i dont know..
there are a few things on this site that im sure could come in to reach with the copyright laws, especally some video's..
but ill do what ive said above and post the reply if i get one..

Some of you should go read what copyright laws actually say. Duplication/redistribution is fine as long as you completely source where the reference was from and do not try to earn profits on it. For the sake of a simple map that is being given away with copies of the game it is absurd to call it a violation of copyright laws especially knowing the intended use.
If he had said that he had made the map and it was all his and it was $5 a copy, sure, b--ch him out all day long. Until then lighten up.
I have an almost fully explored (explorable zones too, and by "almost" I mean like tiny bits on the edges) of Shing Jea Island, I'll post it when I get home, at school :P.

ok i know that the custom map is now compleate but just so you lot know i have got an e-mail back from NCsoft/gw support team, i e-mailed them due to people here saying that it was against the copyright law
i said:

This did take them a bit of time to get back to me but
i would think in future games of gw, we are allowed to copy/scan the map for refrence to the land. but not for any money making scheme..
I haven't seen any collector maps of Catnha yet, so I'll head it off with mine:
I've starded making my first bit of a collectors map of Cantha, beginning with the Kaineng area.
I haven't gotten any further in the game yet, so I'll make more maps bit by bit as I go. I've got a fulltime job though, so it will take some time ;)
if you'd like to have your map featured here at gameamp then feel free to head to the map section and submit the map file.

Though I'm not sure if the popups will work then? The image only depicts the locations and the items you need to collect. The rewards are in the popups.
[edit:] I've posted em. Added links to the maps with popups, since they didnt work. Gave proper credit to the people who did helpful research ;)
