wats minipet?

how much do they go for? and where do u find them?

after playing guild wars for one year your character will be given a present from ANet, people are selling them for 100k+ depending on the skin(some have reached 300k)

^ There are two examples

There are rarer skins and more common ones so pcs aren't really needed but most people are not selling their anyway so unless you have a lot of gold just wait until you've been playing for a year. (also they dont attack and can't be killed they are just there to look cute/cool)

cool... so if you could get a minipet anything then would a mountain giant be the same size as a human... it would be cool to have that follow you.

the pets are all around the same basic size, they reach a little under your character's knees (of course some are smaller, some larger)

I have personally seen a troll mini pet and it is quite small.

There are also rumors that there are extremely rare mini pets such as some which look like Mhenlo

Do you have to be online during that 1 day (your 365th day) to get the pet or will it be in your inventory when you next log in no matter what after that day? It's character based, not account, right? And can you have more than one out at the same time (like if you created 2 chars 3 days apart and then put 1 chars mini in storage in picked up with other char)?

Yes it is based on characters.. I am not sure if you can have more than one out at a time, but i know you can trade them and put them in storage so there is a posibility to have multiple pets out at once

i know how you feel, im going to get one in a little while then im going to have to wait for a couple months before i get another, its a shame, but ill wait it out

I really wish it was based on account because now i dont want to remake any of my characters because i want them to get the pets :(

offtopic: i remember some other mmorpgs that i use to play and how accounts were awarded with presents per year, i cant wait for next year ^_^

This is actually a very smart marketing ploy. People will stop deleting characters and start buying additional character slots.
I wonder what smart person at ANet thought of this?

Does anyone know what all the possible mini-pets are? I know a friend of mine got the turtle like Kurzick henchmen and i got a mini Jade Armor. My opponents better watch out for their feets lol (jk i know they don't attack)

I think these presents will soon become a "culture" (shall we say) in the GW universe.

What I mean is: alike TCG (Trading Card Games), these presents have a "collect them all" feel to them, don't you think?

Visiting Guild Wars: Guru, and having seen the different "models" available, it kind of makes me want to "collect them all"

Am I just obsessed with TCGs or does someone else feel this "hidden emotion"?...

Or am I just losing my mind due to lack of sleep?
