Here is the newest one done by Sharwyn. It's pretty good for all around healing.
But there is no guide that can tell you fully how to be a monk. Most good monks learn from experience.
Skills: What you should do is get all the skills for your monk, then read each one to find out what choices you have. Look at all the info. Recharge times, Energy cost, Casting time, how it heals, how much it heals, etc. Then figure out which are going to be the most useful. For example, if there is alot of AoE damage, you might consider bringing Heal Party. Or if there are gonna be alot of hexes, bring Dwayna's Kiss. Degen Conditions? Healing Breeze. Also, make sure that one of the skills you bring can heal yourself. Healing Touch is great for this.
Weapons: Generally the most popular weapons are the 20/20 offhands and almost any wand that can help. Staffs are good too, but a perfect Wand/Offhand tend to be better than a perfect Staff. The only exception is if you do alot of enchantments, then a staff with an Enchantments mod would be good.
In Battle: Remember, you're the healer not the fighter. So stay back and don't risk aggro. If the warrior or assassin doesn't run off, you should be able to heal them with no aggro issues. If you find yourself struggling to keep people alive (including yourself), something's either wrong or really difficult.
Abuse: Healer monks tend to get abuse because they are stuck with the responsibility to keep everyone alive. And if other people are being dumb and die, they'll either be honest or lie. Most people will lie and blame you. If you know you did your job, ignore them. But don't get into a flame-fight with them.
Being a healer monk is one of my favorite builds. It's cool to be able to keep people alive while they're getting slammed with Dragon Stomp and other high damage skills.

there is a very good guide that deals with most of the pvp monk builds in the guide section of the site...i guess if you're looking for a pve build, mix and match those skills...thats what i did at first, then got creative and i love my current build

I just submitted a guide on strategies of being a good pvp monk, when it comes out(hopefully) i will link it here.
On the offchance that it is not accepted here is the copy i have of it
How To Be a Good Pvp Monk
Obviously there are multiple types of monks out there.
In MadNes’ excellent guide to monks you can see the most popular: Guide to pvp monks
However, there are certain strategies that apply to being any type of monk.
Firstly: always keep an eye on the main screen.
Many new monks have a tendency to stand still, keep their eyes glued to the health bars resulting in watery eyes and often death. A monk that stands still is not a monk: rather it is a neon sign for any tiger warrior, kd/as or otherwise to come attack and destroy. Constant motion is a must for any good monk. Watch out for AoE spells, and if you are good enough watch out for future AoE spells. Some spells like Fire Storm or Meteor Shower have distinctive visual effects.
Also, preferential healing is required for any monk. Know the order of importance in your build. In some (MM for example) there is a MND(must not die) ally. Protection monks should keep an internal count going as to the amount of time an enchantment has been on a MND target to keep constant enchantment status. If there is not a MND ally or a healing hierarchy heal the person that is farthest from the rest. This DOES NOT mean healing pursuit. Often chasing after a foolish newb to get in a heal causes multiple deaths back at the main battle site.
Use the environment:
Always keep in mind that certain spells and arrows are hindered by walls and other obstructions. Try to keep out of sight of enemies whenever possible. This holds especially true during ranger spikes and the like. Spike groups in general have a typical pattern of movement they follow, try to notice a spike being set up.
Customize your interface:
Trying to keep an eye on health bars enemies and spell effects such as Well of the Profane can be disconcerting, especially so for high stress monks like an SB/Infuser. Thus a interface that allows for as little eye movement as possible is necessary. Try to centralize things as much as possible. Your own skill bar isn’t that important. Consider moving it to replace with other more valuable interface information.
Also, code shortcuts. Especially useful for the SB/infuser as a reach for the number button or clicking on infuse health can cost a life. Consider shift or an alternative.
The most important part though, is to remember to move constantly. Run through your allies whenever possible to hamper a following warrior. Keep hidden and heal with the most effective spell…
Good luck and happy monking…

I don't think you really need a guide for a healing Monk, just experiment with that, people have told me that different combinations of skills fit people alot differently when it comes to something like this.

Hmmm...a guide. Well, I can give a short guidthingy a whirl.
Ok, weapons:
Staff's usually have more energy, but can have less mods. Rod/offhand combo, can have more energy but at the cost of energy regen. Rods can also have better cast/regen mods. The choice on which to use is a persional choice.
Skills:
With skills, you have to look at the HP vs MP(magic).
There are skills that can heal 190hp in one shot, but cost 10 mp. While there are skills that can heal 105 for 5mp. The choiceshould depend on the mission. Will the mission need many target healing or single heavy healing. Another thing to look at is the cast/recharge time. THis is not a real big factor unless spam healing is needed.
Armor/runes:
For armor, you should usually go for tats. They give the most energy, but you can go with a mix of armors to give the best bonuses. And for runes, if you are going healing, you can do very will with just a major healing, minor divine, major vigor, and healing head tats. If you are going protection, just use protection head tat with a major protectern rune on it.
Hope this helps you out, if you want more information, PM me and I'll be glad to help in any way.
