Hi there!
It would be nice if there is something like the Spawngrenade-Mut in UTComp ;)
So that it's possible to say per voting how many grenades you got if you respawn (like you can say BSkins epicstyle or utc-style ...)
Thanks for your time and I hope you understand my English :P

That would be very, *very* nice. And if it if configurable by servertravel (like DoubleDamage and TeamOverlay) it would be even better.
Seconded in spades!

Not Likely: This qualifies as a direct gameplay change, and ends up in plenty of people getting really pissed.
The only similar change we've done so far was including an option to remove Double Damage, as it was accepted and used worldwide at the time. Right now, spawn granade reduction is not. Maybe in the future :)

Adding this as an *option* changes gameplay only if you choose to enable said option. Using a default of 4 grenades and only change it if explicitly specified shouldn't upset anyone...
IMO this would be most useful and I implore you to reconsider.

The idea is that once you start to change things, where does it end? Think about the number of minor gameplay changes that people will start to ask us to do, effectively over time turning the game into something completely different.
Anyway, we've talked it over, and we'll talk it over some more. I just personally don't like the idea.

The idea behind this request was if you're running a server and have votings for cls and pro you can easy change the number of grenades when a player (re)spawning (pro=1, cls=4).
If you won't add it I've to live with it, but I think it's a good feature.
I'm just wondering how usefull it is to turn amp on/off (pro/cls), BSkinsMode and you can't set the number of grenades.
Edit:
one more thing: for clans who play in different competitions with different settings it would be realy usefull, same as amp on/off and bskinsmode.

I think it's realized that people play with different settings. However as the staff here is located in NA, we are not aware of rules/settings on leagues in other countries, only over here on our side of the pond. Since UTcomp has been primarily made according to the settings/style played over here it tends to go along with our settings. The game-play changes in it (IE no amp) are world wide settings that span several leagues and cover any major event. Reduce nades is (as far as I am aware) implemented in a couple euro leagues.
IMHO as of now there are more pressing changes, and the 1.5 beta is out (dl it on this site).
It would be helpful if you could produce a couple more links to see how pervasive nade reduction is, as I said it's not done at all in NA.

No need for the links as saito implied, I investigated usage a long time ago (he wouldn't know as he is simply a site admin here). Anyways -- this is the bottom line for all questions like this...
Direct gameplay changes will most likely not be implimented into UTComp unless it is a nearly absolute standard, as was the case for the 'nodoubledamage' option. (nearly 100% of 1v1 was using this before it was added as an option).
