PvP Stalker

I actually have to different things to talk about in this thread but the second would be better suited for Rant and Rave...

Lately, I've been PvPing a lot with my ninja/sr stalker, and I like it for the most part. The thing that gets me is how EVERYONE can see me because they all have access to a power that automatically takes away all a stalkers power! Tactics!! I'm just saying, if someone can see a stalker make it ONE AT. Yeah, I know that without it Stalkers can basically one shot any AT other than Tanker, but with it EVERYONE can anhiliate stalkers...I'm just asking if anyone else thinks that it should be changed so only one hero AT can see stalkers.

The other thing I want to talk about is, well, I've been PvPing(as i said earlier in this post) and one toon I've fought lately is Battelgator. and he dominates. He's a spine/regen scrapper i believe and it took 5 of us, me and four brutes, to kill him...does anyone else think spines are best at PvP?

Oh, and one quick little question for a friend of mine...if I have CoV, and I downloaded it into my computer, can he use the same copy?

IMO get Invis it stacks with hide and is above the perception limit.. they will not be able to see you..

get a macro made up where it turns off Invis and cues up AS or what eva attack you want.. otherwise always plan on Hero's seeing you always.

I pvp with no stealth just plain ol' hide and I scrap em down. just my play style.. they always expect you to start out with AS hehe..

and that spine scrapper must have been really darn good what was his secondary cause that is his suvivability the spines is his killing power... *edit oh you said regen aye ther are very difficult.. you have to stay on the attack give him 0 breather room once his insp's and heals are down then you can kill him otherwise they are very very tough any regen not just spines..

also remember Hero's are going to have Jacked Accuracy mega Jacked because the side effect of Acc toggles is +perception..

your friend will be able to play with using your CD to install the game but he will need his own activation code to start a new acount.

As for Spine Scrappers, they bring quite a bit to the table in PvP. Coupled with Regen, they can be a small army. They have ranged attacks, they have AoE attacks, they can immobilize (-fly), they do lots of DoT, they poison you (not much resistance for this) and when you put regen to work, they can be hard to take down. You won't be able to sneak up on them, they have toggles on constantly (or they should...you've seen those Spine Wardens). They are not untouchable, however, you'll have to bring your A game to defeat them. Remember, every AT and build has its weakness, you just have to figure out this player's weakness. I'm still trying to see why it took 5 (4 Brutes and 1 Stalker) to take him down, and you said it was still tough? What builds were these Brutes? Could they not hit him? Maybe I need to get my Regen out of retirement and run rampant in Pvp then...lol. Sounds like some easy badges.

if u really wanted to be great for PvP you should pick up stealth, flurry/hasten (so u can get ss), and ss. SS, hide and stealth all stack. One accuracy booster takes away one level of stealth so they would need 3 tactics to see you.

Thanks for everything guys!!(and girls lol) and after fighting him again today i think imma make a spines/regen stalker and try again lol oh, and this is another thought i had today, who here likes ninja blade over everything else? cuz, other than damage, i dont find any other use for it...not even close to the effectiveness of spines lol

awhile back when i made my MA/SS stalker what would happen is i would miss and die, ninja blade has excellent accuracy

Thanks for the info Dasha!! and i still think Ninja Blade isn't that great in PvP, even with the compliment to ACC! lol Oh and I'm still just gonna overload with the invis lol

aww.. I agree Ninja Blade isnt the best for PvP.. knock-back is the most commone resisted thing and its lethal damage is highly resisted.. but I enjoy it to no end 8) and Im pretty darn mean..

Want them to be dead fast?

1 set.... Energy Melee... thats all
i always see EM/REGEN or EM/NIN or EM/SR

the next best thing is spines i have both EM and spnines
its dependant of your style, but want them dead fast? EM for sure

no real order for PvP sets:

EM/SR
EM/REGEN
EM/SR
or
Spines/SR
Spines/NIN
Spines/Regen

cant really lose with these sets

I just made a Spines/regen Stalker (Discord Incarnate) and at lvl 8, i love him lol im gonna post my build right here and have you guys give me some advice lol Thanks for your time!!!

1) Barb Swipe
1) Hide
2) Fast Healing
3) 1 Slot BS 1 Slot FH
4) Reconstruction
5) 2 slot FH
6) AS
7) 1 slot Fh 1 slot AS
8) Lunge(needed more damage lol)

Unfortunately, SS loses its stealth function in PvP. However Hide and Stealth do stack with Grant Invisibility.

Spines/Regen is nice, but dont expect it to be like the scrappers uber combo, but you can probably scrap it out more then the other sets being regen and all. good luck good hunting.

Hmm... I'm very very new to this game and I'm currently into the Stalker AT. I got a lvl 16 stalker NB/NIN but it hasn't worked out to well mostly cause I didn't know what I was doing when I picked skills and all...

But after reading up on this site and throu own experience I found NIN as secondary to be very nice but I'm seriously thinking of re-rolling a EM/NIN instead of a new NB/NIN. But I so love the looks of my NB/NIN, she's so vicious :)

I picked Hasten/SS as my travel power and hasten is kinda nice along with all the 'toys' from NIN.

I really wanna enjoy my pvp and I kinda like beein' a bit cheap aslong as I win, and like many states, we're the bad guys.

I'd love if it anyone could tell some tales about their Stalker PvP adventures, pref NB and EM primary :)

First of all, great info, Dasha. I did not realize that stealth powers were based on distance -- I always thought there were stealth magnitudes, similar to holds and such.

Secondly, I agree that it is tough to be a Stalker these days in PvP. It seems everyone has a way to counter your Hide power whether it be by powers or popping inspirations. I have not PvP'd alot, but one thing I found helpful is to sneak up behind heroes. Sometimes they will be unable to see you no matter what perception power they are using simply because you are behind them.

I have a scrapper with this combo. Slot some Slow enhancements into some of the powers, especially Quills. It will be very noticeable.

Virtually no one will use more than 1 Acc/Perception insp or power or something, so using Hide combined with Stealth is a great combo for PvP (I'm not really into PvP but I still have Stealth :P )

Btw, I'm Ninja Blade/Regeneration and I like it ;) the extra Accuracy totally pwns. :P

SS stealth is not there in PvP..

and Hero's specially tankers n scrappers take as much perception as they can and usually are buffed by defenders with perception..

always play as thogh you are completly visible.. my motto anyways...
