| QUOTE | | Stealth and Phase Shift Powers will suppress (for self buffs or toggles) or cancel (for external buffs) when a player interacts with Interactive Objects, such as Plaques or Mission Objective Objects. Suppression of this type has a duration of 10 seconds. |
Does this mean no more complete ghosting of missions? That you'll have to kill the surrounding mob as well?
On the other hand:
Yay!
| QUOTE | Modified PvE critter accuracy. Defense powers will now work equally well against critters, regardless if they have higher accuracy. For instance, your defense powers will work equally well against a Boss or any critter up to 5 levels higher than you, as it does for an equal level minion. Previously, a more accurate critter could circumvent much of your defense, but this will no longer happen. This change is designed to alleviate the disparity between Defense and Damage resistance powers (for instance, a player with super reflexes will now be more effective against a high level critters, a boss or Arch villain) This change has no effect on a player who does not have any Defense. More accurate critters may have a greater chance at the extreme low end of the To Hit scale than previously due to this change. For instance, an Archvillain whose To Hit previously was set at the 5% minimum, will now have a 7.5% chance to hit. This change does not affect PvP.

and yay!
| QUOTE | | Reduced End costs on Claws high end powers. |
Will I need stamina at all.... O.o

Pretty much. They were planning something similar with I6, but they were going to have Stealth powers turn completely OFF. That changed to suppression in I7. So we kinda knew it was coming. It's understandable, though.

Im thinking they want to do more with the glowies.. like the christmas event.. and if stealth wasnt suppresed then risk-reward issues.. 8) Its not like stealthing missions hasnt been around since CoH release.. everyone has access to stealthing powers..

However, I did not see anything mentioned about the stealth SS provides. Is this going to be included in the I7 changes as well? This is how I do my stealth type missions now with my Brute...and it works darn good too.

Unknown. I'm thinking it will probably only affect "direct-stealth" type powers. SS's stealth is minimal.

DOOOOOOOM!!1!!!!!111one!1!!
I've just been on the test server. Well, maybe not quite doom, but they have switched the slash animation for swipe, and chanced the swipe one. I know slash is now minimally quicker, but I liked it the old way. And the new swipe one is dull.
Also, I didn't notice the promised claws damage increase.

the damage increase for claws is reduced animation times for the powers.. kinda indirectly.. so now you will be able to strike and recharge faster meaning more DPS not direct damage..
this was posted by _Castle_ on the official forums..
Here are the major changes coming in I7:
Swipe: Changed animation to a Two Hit swipe. Cast Time reduced to 1.5
Strike: New Animation, basically a stab to the midsection. Cast Time is 1.17 seconds.
Slash: Uses Strike's old animation. Cast Time 1.33 seconds.

If I didn't mind the lag, and possibility of not being able to play on test, i'd go try my Stalker out.
I guess I'll have to wait for it to hit live before I can see if i'll be impressed or not.
Now, the only question that I can ask that has a bit of relevence is...did they decrease the end cost for the Claw attacks? If they increased the DPS option, meaning more attacks being done, did they decrease the End cost? This would be very major to the Claws build if we run out of endurance quickly..

There is no lag on the EU test server... Mwuuahahahahhahah!
I've only noticed an end change in Evicerate, but I think there is an end reduction in all the 'high level' attacks, but I have neither Focus or Shockwave.
The stab to the midsection is just the Punch animation from Super Strength (I think). It sucks, and I would give up the 1/4 second or so it gives to have the old ones back.
One of the reasons I respec'd out of Swipe is the animation length, so I don't object to that one.

Well I haven't really noticed anything about my powers, only thing the recharge is a lot shorter now with the "Call best pet" from Mastermind. One thing I did notice were the bugs all over the place...

Your L32 upgrade also recharges at about the same speed as your lower level upgrade for masterminds. That's a HUGE thing.

Even with Stamina it is a drain and a half. I reslotted my enhancements on this power (Upgrade Bot) from 3 Recharge Redux and one End Redux to 2 Recharge and 2 End Redux. It is still a bit of a drain though, but I can up Bots in under half of the old time now.
