How much is Gameamp a part of you?

Ok, this topic is actually intended more limited than the title makes it sound.

What I'm asking here is: How easily, as an indication of how much Gameamp is a part of your daily (hourly?, minutely?) routines, did you make Gameamp accessible?

Personally, I really use the site a lot, I do not always post as much as I have certain times before but I still check the site a lot and keep track of new topics in the forum all the time.

Now, to answer my own question:

I got it on my firefox toolbar, i would take a pic, but im too lazy, i check in about evry 3 hours.

i got it as a shortcut on my desktop, and visit it before and after playing gw's.

Hmmmm... that might be an idea...
I actually always have Google as my homepage _in case_ I would _ever_ want to look for anything else than Gameamp on the web. :P

On the other hand... I guess it's not really necessary with the keyboard button I assigned, I can still get it to Gameamp straight away like that.

I don't always post, but i do at the very least glance at the site daily...i think i have been late to school a couple of times because i started reading the site.

Edit: just noticed from looking at pictuer, that i have been comming here almost a year! how time flies.

Edit Edit: my mom has the same brand laptop as Julia, possibly same modle..wonder if she will let me put GW on it...

ok, this is going to be a babble thread... this is your only warning about that.

i first found gameamp just under 2 years ago when i was looking for info about the new MMO i was playing (CoH).... the villians page is what kept me on the site for more than 10 min... the ability to submit screenshots kept me on the site for more than an hour, and the forums got me hooked...

it has been a downward spiral since *grin*....it started by them asking me to join the staff after being active for about a month... then they asked me to be Site Mgr after about another month..... then.... then i sold my soul to Ampy....

i spend way, way to much time on Gameamp... it is a bigger addiction than MMOs to me now...when i wake up in the morning i sit down at my computer for my morning ciggy and get online... i check my email (my hotmail and gameamp) first, then log into the site.... i usually don't step away from my computer (and gameamp) for at least 4 hours (when i do all of my forum trolling).... my boyfriend usually pulls me away from the computer for half an hour or so for lunch, then i'm on the network for usually another 3 hours.... but after my day is over and i get into a game (GW right now) i always check the site 2 more times b/f i go to bed

and yes, GA is the last thing i check before bed... i always do a forum round right before i call it a night... and the scarest picture ever is my opera browser....

Sometimes I just go through a couple of on each forum to look for all the topics I missed and Ctrl + click (open in new window) them all, after they're all open I read them one by one.
That often gets your tabs to look such as that. ^^

Gameamp is set as my homepage, but there really is no need for that as I very very very VERY rarely close my browser (hence why my login count isnt incredibly high... it only goes up if I use a secondary browser to check a problem or if I restart my PC, which only happens if I update a major component).

I adore the Gameamp community, Gameamp has become a 2nd home to me. I just love the way all the members try and be as helpful as possible and if someone has a "newby" question they arent shot down for asking it, rather they are commended for asking such a question (some of the so called "newby" questions that have been asked I have found the answers to even give me some new found information).

The reason I liked Gameamp in the first place was the layout, it is simple, easy to navigate and pleasant to the eye. The reason I stayed was as I stated above the community. There is the occasional bad seed, but the good far outweighs the bad.

well the first thing i do when my laptop (old one wich i use for forum trolling) boots i go
windows key, k (activatest run) and write firefox. then i get the following image

i take these from left to right. That should explain how much its a part of me.

the first thing i do when i get up is check gameamp, when i get to school i check it again and then the rest of the day but usually not more then 2 hours apart.

who would have thought that CPU and MOBO's could burn... or atleast they got toasted pretty good

Gameamp is what fills everyday during Math, English, History, Vocal, and on occasion Spanish. LAPTOP FTW! Oh and i usually check it right when i wake up as my laptop is almost always on, (downloading non-illegal whatesoever things at night, school during the day) and then after i quit gw at night. WHILE im posting, is there any way to change my login name with out losing my INCREDBILY RIDICULOUSLY HIGH AMOUNT of NINETY WHOLE CREDIT? Yeah can i change my login? (Lord Toast is what i want it to be) but ANYWAYS yes i love gameamp. I probably mess around on it more than i actually play gw just because i cant play gw at school.

1,860 logins / 8 months = 232.50 logins/month

232.50 logins / 31 days = 7.50 logins per day!!

Between the TC Forums, Gameampalliance Forum, Gameamp, and GW...I do nothing else but work, LOL

LOL, just like me, I am Gameamp litterally all the time during every lesson at school, laptop ftw indeed! :P

However, I already do also actually play Guild Wars in, well, let's not say every class, but any class more like it.
Whenever I feel like it, regardless of what class I'm in I just start Guild Wars and play a bit.

And the greatest thing is, teachers don't care at all.
Just recently I was playing GTA San Andreas in class (Yes, I still start that occasionally although I'm not really into it anymore) and the teacher walked past... stood still... took a few steps back, looked over my shoulder... and he went: "Oh cool, San Andreas, I got that game too, on PS2", and he walked away. :)

woot thats like my danish teacher, we can have a lan going in the classes playing Q3 and UT 2004. after having us for 3 years shes given up.

in my defence our teacher is as interesting and looks like an egyptian mummy.

I go to a school where everybody gets laptops, so hella stuff is blocked. Most ports are closed. Many programs, including AIM, MSN, All Online Games (Mainly WoW at my school), iTunes Music Store, Myspace.com and a couple other things, but pretty much yeah now gw at school for me. :(

yeah i accidentally killed our email server whilst trying to set up a proxy... i dont really know how but the tech guy came running down the hall screaming my name so i guess i did somethign bad to them. BUT YES it is totally hackable but imo its too much work because we have super smart techies so i would have to redo it all the time... BLARHGH

well schools arent know for their high security, pritty much a third of the student at my school could break into anything they wanted on the school network. we have a server we call the gameserver, it is ment to organise rendering of 3dsmax objekts so all the schools computers can clusterrender and its also the student asp/php server where we can put our test scripts and so on, but most of the time its running as a dedicated server in different games

That is not even necessary in my case, I got it legit, as part of the Helpdesk training.
We need to have access to it so we can fix problems on the network when asked to.

NOOOO thats boring, but the teacher (they play Q3 with us and pwns us:( ) and it peeps dont really mind. if some1 makes an blatendly obvious mistake like putting files where they easly can be found, they are punished but if we do a good job they just talk to us about what we did and tries to correct it.
