Ok lets hear it! i want to hear what u guys have to say about the 'Patron Powers'. Whats the best? come on, dont be scared i dont bite...not until i get the mako powers that is!

As in villains getting their ass kicked when they try to use some of the Patron Powers? May be.
The recharge times alone on the Mu pool is ludicrous. 32 seconds minimum, up to 15 MINUTES for summon striker. Reports are coming back to the test forum that the powers are averageat best, and in some cases weaker than most primary powers.

i might have to start me a stalker in i7, become the thing i hate so much...
one thing i hate is how its going to be hard to work in many
aspects about patron powers... i cant think of many concepts that fit in "shark summoning" and still make sense. and whats the mace about? thats just redonkulous

Patron Powers dont have to fit your concept since they were given to you by your Patron.. one way to look at it..
and The mace fits my concept perfectly... My stalker is Technology based.. actually an adroid(looks human) who was created by nemesis.. taken over by Jane Roberts who is an expert with guns... Click if you want to read his bio..

Yeah, I would agree with Dasha, the patron powers can be looked at as something that was bestowed upon the "Destined One" to help them further their rise to the top.
It's nothing that has to fit perfectly with the original concept, as I'm not sure any of them would/could fit with any of the concepts I've created. I'll just take the stance of, I intimidated one of Recluse's ring generals into giving me the extra power I needed to follow my quest for ultimate domination.

Redonkulous?? but yeah, i agree, i think imma have to make a dark/dark stalker, cuz they look kick b@!!$ lol um i dont really mind that they dont fit cuz, to me, it doesnt matter hehe the mace is for all them peeps acting like rogue arachnos(they kinda annoy me cuz they make up like 1/3 of all the "creative" characters...) lol redonkulous....

I'm with sunshine on this, and add i dont think the "destined one" would need a handout from one of recluses lackeys. I'd still rather have something that fits my idea of my toon not someone's "cool idea". I may take some of the patrons on a toon or 2, but overall i'm gonna pass. Would be curios to see what datamining will show on the patrons, how many take and hom many dont, not saying most won't just curious how it would work out.

WOW negative nancies! i7 cant be that bad!! On CoH i had a lvl 50 Earth/Kinetics Controller and i got ICE EPP. I mean that doesnt 'match' but still it was a good combo. I say SCREW IT if it doesnt match. THERE I SAID IT!

Negative...not I...hey, I am thinking about taking the Mu set for my Claws/Ninjitsu Stalker. It may be a dud, however, I like the concept (if it stands true) of being able to drain my opponents end from them for a change.
The concept hit home while doing a mission arc and I got a temp power, a Sapper gun. It was too cool to be able to take their end and have them sitting there brawling with me...lmao. I know if the Mu set does drain end, it won't be on that level, however, with enough hits (and hopefully at least one AoE attack) I can accomplish my goal.
Not sure which one I'll try on my Bot/DM MM though, Maybe BS for the shields (seems like they would work better than the rest, seeing he is a Brute and all).
I may get the fish for my EM/Invul Brute though...lol. Just because that would be funny as hell to see him and fish getting into it together...or maybe the widow's dark set..hmmm, the concepts of possibilities...

i do like the idea of arachnos's henchman serving u at 47... seems pretty nice...
and yes, the powers do look nice, all im saying is make the same powers with a diff secondary effect and graphic (Soul mastery could turn into thorn mastery with thorny graphics and lethal/toxic DoT, for example) and a nother patron to get it from...

There isnt really another patron to get powers from apart from lord recluse but i guess he is our patrons patron if u get wat i mean. But there should be more choices for PPP i agree with that

I plan to to Black Scorpion as my patron. I think it would be funny for a 3'9'' child to be swinging a mace that is almost as big as she is.

A few words IMHO on the patron powers:
1) They do look interresting and I'm very curious as to what will happen when they actually go live on all servers.
2) It would be interresting, however to see something similar to the Ancillary (sp?) powers in CoH for those that would rather not take a patron and would rather build upon their own powers. Conversely, when this happened, I'd like to see patron powers added to CoH as options, probably from Sister Psyche, Positron, Sinapse and Manticore or something like that.
3) Someone mentioned there were no other patrons to get powers from. Well, patrons could always be expanded to include the big lieutenants like Barracuda and Silver Mantis.
Just my 2 inf.
