idk wtf people need to farm for, if you cant play the game legit, dont play it at all.

if you gotta bot go do it on diablo ii. cause no one gives a **** there.

Yeah, if all the farming spots have a bunch of bots there ALL THE TIME, Anet will nerf the area. And we don't want that to happen again, do we?

I really hope people don't Bot Hydra. I'm working on their extinction myself >;-)

if you hover your cursor of the bots, you can see that most of the bots are in the same guilds, one of them i see all the time at elonas is the guild with the intials [love],and a lot of the bots have xianlong somewhere in the name.

i sent a note to anet about it telling them few names and the guild,they said they'd look into it but this was few months ago and they're still there

There was a large thread a while back about how nothing can be done about it because banning them would conflict with local laws in some places...Here

Yeah, I farmed (legitimately) there this weekend and I swear, if there were less than 80 Mo/W's I'd be suprised.

Its an easy farm, and profitable. I hope they dont nerf it.

I don't know what it is in the Internet that makes people so ignorant and immature. Don't botters realise that they ruin the game for the rest of us. When those selfish twats go and bot a farming area, it gets nerfed, if it wasn't for botters none of the farming areas would've been nerfed.
I've never talked to any botter, but I can imagine it.

That was a screenshot when there wasnt as many bots as there normally is. Also these bots are farming the minotaurs that are at the very start of the elona mission. I really hope it doenst get nerfed, its a good way to earn fast cash but not gold items or anything. *sigh* A programming savy person should make a virus that hunts down bot programs connected to the GW server and auto disconnect them XD. *keeps dreaming*

If you really wanted to screw over botters, it would be easy if you could get to know them and get into their guild... then just write a new program to run the bots and stick a trojan in it, or a keylogger. No more bots ^^

I, for one can never forgive ANet for pushing GW to countries which allow botting. I know Europeans and yanks have just as bad botters too but I don't think in either of 'em have any laws that actually allow botting(?)
It was VERY stupid for ANet to go to Eastern countries. ><
As far as I know, in most of the online games nowaday, Botting isn't looked kindly upon and botters are thought to be the extreme lamers.
Well, botting is a serious issue in modern games so why on Earth do online games keep pushing the game to countries which allow such a thing?
Well, GW doesn't have montly payments so I think after ANet gets our money from the copy of the game, it doesn't give a toss for anything. People bought the game and that's the most important thing for them.
-Now, since all the countries in Europe and also USA have been sucked dry, where do we get our next stash of cash? Hmm....
-I know! Let's go to Korea!
- But aren't there alot of botters in Eastern countries?
-Why should we care, we got the cash and we don't need to keep our customers happy since we don't have any monthly payments! Hooray!

NOTE: I'm not trying to be a racist or anything and outside GW I love everyone! ^^ I'm racist only towards botters.:P

EDIT: And for those who think ANet can't be greedy'n'evil because ANet has Gaile Grey(Don't know if I spelt the nime correctly): It's her/his job to be nice. He/She's just cover-up! :P

Arenanet was purchased by NCsoft in 2002, the headquarters for NCsoft is based in Seoul, South Korea. So really they were expanding West.

you should definetly submit that screen to anet just to show that its getting retarted on how many people are making bots to farm places for them. ITS CALLED A VIDEO GAME!!! You supposed to play it with your OWN hands not the computer's! god

Well why did they bring it to West if Botting in Korea is so wide spread and accepted and in West it's not that *OK*?

EDIT:Even they would've known that to cause bad blood.
And also, Don't koreans know that botting in west isn't thought to be such a good thing or do they bot on purpose at the international servers to bug people?

Well, I took a couple screenshots last night in the American districts with a heck of lot more Mo/W in it than here. There were maybe five or ten people there that weren't Mo/W, and we were all having discussions about botters. The occasional monk would pipe in that they weren't bots, but largely got no other responses. I was extremely surprised when someone asked me what a bot was and I explained, he asked where to get one and if they were profitable. Didn't seem to understand why they were bad. Just goes to show, they are a problem everywhere, since I doubt they were all Koreans.

Their primary goal of course is to MAKE MONEY
The more countries this game spreads to, the more people will be able to buy it and the more money they'll make
Of course they have to try their best to get rid of botters too so people wont stop playing
The prices for good items are nuts now because of dam botters having so much friggin money

Pretty obvious stuff but meh thought I'd outline the issues again :P

Well; i think we recently have seen what happens when game economy is falling (dont recall exactly when it was; some 4-6 weeks ago i think); anet resets the servers back to the period b4 the economy crash. with this amount of botters itll be only a matter of time before they reclock the economy before it went wrong.
The only shame is that because of those egocentric botters; 100.000s people will lose their progress of several hours; lose items they have found; missions and bonusses they had accomplished (i had done the elona bonus then; next day it was gone as well as my elitecap); items they have bought (like sup rune and stuff)
If its known where these bots come from (country server or whatever) i think they should cut them off ASAP from the worlds economy. If they want to ruin their own; fine! go ahead, but dont harm the rest of the world because yu simply dont care.
Maybe the problem of these bots appearing is the fact that the asian countries started 1 or 1,5 years LATER then the rest of the world; saw the items; cash and stuff and wanted to have it as well ASAP.

Maybe what anet should do (and i dont think itll be hard since EVERYTHING is saved in your account) is see if certain accounts make the same movement over and over again without having true progress and linger on the same spot for a time that cant be normal. That way yu rule out the 'normal' farmer who walks around in an area searching and looking, and pick out the bots who simply go to a place and take the same route over and over again.

It would be sad if GW collapses because some people like to ruin things and only think about their own personal gain.
