Ok I just got factions and have found the isle of the nameless and the arenas and heroes accent ziatsen etc...but how do I get to the other areas in factions I cant figure it out!?
I'm a guild Wars noob again!!! noooooooo!

Shing Jea Arena? the arena guy is in Shing Jea Monastery

Sounds to me like you made a PVP only character. If you mean how to you get to the 12v12 alliance battles, I'm not sure, because I'm pretty sure PVP only characters should be able to fight in those. But otherwise, just make a PVE character, they will start in the Shing Jea Monastery, and you will get to the rest of Cantha fairly quickly.

if it's for 12vs12 alliance battle with a pvp caracter best way is the guild hall of your guild
if it's to get to faction land with a prophecies caracter there is a quest you need to do in lion arch

If you made a pvp, you will only see those arenas.
If you make a new character it starts you out in the right area..
Sounds to me you are tryin to get your Prophecies character into Cantha.. Quoting from the Guildwars.com updates..
