Whenever I see a screenie, it is often not the screenie itself that intrigues me, but the HuD. I'm not sure if anyone else is like this or I'm just wierd, but the way people arrange their windows; how they have their tabs; the way they sort their powers; and which powers they have always interests me.
Maybe a gallery could be set up for people to post their individualised HuDs, if anyone other than me is interested.

Saying that, a screenie here is where I got the layout for my HuD from, I have a feeling it was one of RonJ's screenies. Might be interesting to see them though.

I sort my inspirations. You can tell the kind of mission I have in mind by whats in there too! AV - awakens, Malta - clear minds and catch a breaths. Its terrible but at times I sort the Enhancements too.
I have many different lay outs but my common standards are Health just below the shoulder blades, Map bottom right, Powers to the right of the hero (inspirations showing and locked), chat lower left, NAV top center, Target top left, and Missions top right.
I kinda moved them around alot and then finnaly settled with things where I could see them well and get to them with the mouse quickly depending on their importance.

hello, my name is bigspeer and i sort my inspirations too. its easier having the same type in the same column in my mind.
i have picked up a few tiddy bits of organization from the screenies as well. nice call. i never realized i did it before.

YES! I too sort my inspirations!
OH I can't stand it when they are scattered all over the place. I usually sort them between fights, sometimes during depending on the need for them.
I also tend to put my enhancements in numerical orders from least to greatest. (This is only if I have no need for them.)
As for the topic at hand I have always wondered what other peoples HUD looks like. I have Used Rainahs toons a few times and I can honestly tell you if had to use her set up all the time I would die A LOT.
I have to have my powers in a certain order and in a certain row. I hate it when I respec my toon and all my stratigic maping of my powers have gone to hell.

The big question is how do you sort them. It doesn't seem to matter what AT I have. Greens are always all the way to the left, Blues all the way to the right. Everything else depends on AT, but are kept in nice neat columns.
First thing I do on every toon(and gawd there are a lot of them) is shrink the interface to 80%.
Open up the Enhancements, detach it and center it on the bottom.(at 80% scale, this does not overlap with chat or the power bar.)
Tried moving the power bar all over the place.......it's back where it started on all toons now. Lower right hand corner.
Enhancements stay attached to the power bar, but are up at all times.
Set up tab 1 as "Money Maker". Detach and it goes on the right hand side of the screen. Rewards only.
Team gets detached and moved up under Target in the upper left hand corner.
Map gets detached and moved to the right hand side of the screen, and made as narrow and tall as the limitations allow.
Every darn time! I can do it in my sleep now! Most times I'll adjust the color of the windows to match the character design I have. Purple character, Purple windows, Green Monacle on Buckshot, Green interface screens............
I could show you one interface window, and you'll know how all of my toons look like >^__^<

I sort my insps too... between fights... AND I match my bars to my characters too... Ms Russia has red bars, Ms Northern Ireland has green ones, Sapphire has Blue of course... etc.
I sort my insps by... greens to the left, then blues... then reds, yellows and everything else.
I sort my enhancments too... SO's to the left in numerical order... also anything I'm hanging onto for later in the game will be first so I don't accidentally sell it... then I put my DO's then TO's... which I delete first at high lvls.
My hud... well as an ex healer, player health bars are constantly on display...(when on my healer names are there too) that way I can see mine at a glance and the rest of my teams... top right... stayed as it was after I shrunk it down to about 80% or so... then in the top middle is the target, top left is the map screen, shrunk down so that it matches the bar size... it's small enough to leave open when in cave missions that I constantly get lost in.
bottom left... chat window, top bar I reserve for rewards, badges, and used to have damage received for my tank, so I could alternate my shields at lower lvls to save end... but not any more.... top half also has boradcast and request.... Bottom half has local, team, SG, globals and tells... keeps things kinda clean... especially with the broadcast separated.
then bottom right is the powers tray... top tray is always shields, long charging powers and travel powers... which are for the most part all bound... just makes it clean to tell what's on and what's not. Then bottom row has the attacks... most often used first. I often put heals (group or self) in the last slot so that I can use it easily by hitting 0. For the most part I'm a mouse clicker though.
Insps are always open... and sorted. :)

Done! All I request is that there is only one submission per person. So if you do use different layouts pick the one you use most (or like best) and put it up. We don't want it to get to cluttered.
Oh and I ALWAYS organized my insp and enh as I received them. I wouldn't know what to do if my insp weren't all in the correct place. And the enh, it was just way easier to sort which ones would be sold or deleted to make room for SOs (far right) from the keepers.

SWEET! Thanx Jeni. Now all I have to do is pick a favorite color.....other than that, they're all the same.
I do my power selections like Saph too. But being "Blaster minded", I have the 1-2-3 (and the occasional 4) blast set up. There are those nights I just don't want to quit playing. Luckily, all of the time looking at the monitor causes seizures, and my left hand twitches when my fingers hover over the keyborad.
I doze off........ I shoot something! Then someone yells at me over Vent and I wake up........ "THUNDAR! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!"
"Huh..... Oh uh, CRAP!" BLAST BLAST BLAST "CRAP CRAP CRAP!"

i shrink my interface to 67%. once i figured out how to shrink everything i cant stand having it big. i love seeing as much of the surroundings as possible.
i also match the display to the color of my character.

can someone tell me how to detach things like enhancements and insps and how to shrink the HUD??? I had never even heard of this until this thread.

Every sub-window has a tiny red button and a tiny blue button at the corners of the blue tab along it's far edge. The red one closes the window. The blue one detatches it like you want.
Shrinking the HUD is done in the options menu. You will find a slider, marked "Window Scale," on the Graphics and Audio tab.
BTW, I sort inspirations, too. I think we all do. The ones in my HUD screenie were posed for that shot. Normally, I sort them into columns meant to be used all at once. For example, there's a break-free above every awake. Damage, accuracy, luck and sturdy get stacked together, so I can pop 2 or 3 with a singe button before a fight. Blues and Greens alternate in a column for the same reason - if I need one, it's probably time to pop the other. I like to keep 2 such columns, one starting with a blue and one with a green, just in case I only need one.

My name is Marine X, and I am an INSPIRATION SORTER...sob...it started with just wanting the Awakens on the left and then, then, it just spiraled out of control...sob...I spend my days thinking of sorting the little fellows into their correct spots, and become angry when they don't just go where I want them when freshly purchased. ( I think this may be a Tetris flashback)...

I leave everything on it's default, except that on new toons (which i havent made in a while- i didnt even know it was possible to cure altoholism) i add two new tabs- one gives me only rewards recieved and errors (just in case something doesnt work right, so i know w/o switching tabs) and the other gives me only team chat, tells, and sg/coalition/channels.
my powers are sorted from fastest recharge on the right to longest on the left, single targets first, then cone, the Ball damage, then PBAoE, then toggles in second or third tray up top.
i sort my insparations whenever i get the chance, never in battle, but normally i have blues all the way left, greens next to them, then whatever i happen to have (reds, purps), then all the way on the right collumn is for awakens and break frees. i normally have less than two of each, i dont use them that often. sometimes, if im really bored, i will move around the order to make a rainbow.
i usually delete trainings and some DOs (depending on how many SOs u am recieveing) whenever i notice that the ENHANCEMENT sign is red.

when it comes to control type set up things im really weird, and once something is done its done for good, it will never get moved cos it just feels wrong.
even if there were a better way to do it, once i have had it like it for so long its stuck. so my power bar, team bar, nav bar, power set up, insp arrangement will be forever and always the same. fps games all controls always match.
as for the way i arrange my powers that does depend on AT but i just made an empy i have started to get a nice feel for how i arranged them since i respeced at 18. i usually keep 2 power bars open as opposed to 3 bottom left i have my heals. directly above them i have the other primary ones.
i think we should start posting screens of our huds i like looking at things like that too.
that being said how does everyone arrange their desktop icons. my are grouped very carefully. you see some people who just have random icons on from top to bottom on the left hand side. cant stand it.

lol, how ironic that is! BIG the tank likes his things small! Now that I know you can do that, I'll have to do that myself. If I could find a way to play sans interface and still be just as effective with it up, I would.
Ok, I don't sort my inspirations. No, really, I don't. Most of the time I even forget they're there. :) The only ones I really keep are greens and a few wakies just in case. The rest of them I either give away or use up quickly to make room for more greens.
On the HUD thing, I'd have to thank GrandmastA for the idea to swap the target and tray. It is so much easier to leave the map up and still be able to see where I'm goin.

I always arrange my icons in little pictures of pyramids, hourglasses, and crosses. But I also do that when I'm eating Starburst, Skittles and M&Ms. I just like aranging small things into pictures.
