people are saying dash (assassin skill) is better than sprint. is this true?

Sprint is better beacause dash lasts as long as it took you to read sprint is better.

some guy says Dash is better to have than having monk as a second profession. and he also says that dash is good to remove aggro. AND also to run the supply run.

Who ever said that is retarted... Dash=3 sec of faster running time Sprint = 12 I think, of faster running time,now you tell me which is better.

.... WTF? You said you use sprint and dash at the same time? There both stances. Also going 25 prcent faster for 12 seconds is better than going 50% faster for 3 seconds.

point your attention t oteh post above the one you quoted and you will see. But anyway dash sucks. The best speed skills are ranger and elementalists anyway.

Actually he said dash THEN sprint
indicating that you use the dash FIRST then when it EXPIRES you use sprint SECOND.
nowhere did he say USE THEM TOGETHER or at the same time.

The use of the word THEN implies one after the other.
If he meant to say to use them together he would of said
Use dash AND sprint together.
Lets not ask him because it is fairly obvious to see.

I find Dash rather crap since it'll never last longer than 3 seconds.
50% speed boost is nice but for 3 seconds no speed boost could help substantially.
Imho Dash is simply underpowered and needs changing.

I think it's almost impossible to get them to cancel each other out anyway, as you put on dash, then by the time you can hit Sprint, dash has already run out ^^

It took you 3 skills to beat them? :P Ranger's recharge will usually recharge by the time your first one has but you may have to pause a bit (3 skills). Sprint, lasts about 14 seconds I think it is and recharge 20 seconds (1 Skill).
For speed, i'd say Ranger wins.
For skill slots used, Warrior pwns Ranger.

naw see thats part of my build for running the desert, the extra 33% of speed helps out run those peskey worms
but see storm chaser and escape mean you will never run at normal speed... ever... one recharges while your using the other, and visa versa
but one skill?
Storm Chaser pwns them both hands down
+energy when they hit you with elemental dmg... 20 seconds...
i felt like rubbing it in that a ranger can runn better then a W/Mo or A/Mo (except droks, i relise that so you win there)

Although...Escape and Dodge also give you X% chance to evade attacks, and Storm Chaser gives you energy if hit with elemental. Plus Dodge is 33% faster as opposed to 25%.
Hmm..Ranger pwns Warrior?

It depends on the ocation you are going to use it. Sprint is handy for running faster for a pretty low ammount of time. Dash is handy if you just want get that boost to hit that almost dead guy running away with sprint.

ermmm, you are failing to realize a little something folks... sprint for 12 seconds requires a large amount of attribute in strength, which is a primary skill for warriors only, therefore sprint = 8 for an assassin primary. and yah, dash is crappola
