Rounded SG and Name

I think we're all getting a little impatient for the SG to get done! We need to decide on a name, I suggest just GAMEAMP or GAMEAMPERS or something, the costume is decided (more or less I think) But are we going to say here "I'm gonna be a blaster!" Or just go with it and recruit as necesary? I don't think we need to as we're not always going to team exclusively together anyway, and we can always recruit in-game! So, just a name then? I can create it tonight, so I need a definitive nod from site admin to create it, and what the roles (ie leader etc... will be) then I'll put the first site admins in charge, and get my new character enrolled (and quit with other one once my work is done)

EDIT: although I can start the SG, i don't mind holding off on joining it with my new character till i get the 100 credits needed! Let me know if u still need me to do it!

So the server has been chosen... Infinity! Most people replied that they would play on that server, so there it is. SG Costume colors are as follows: the 3rd from the left blue, and the brightest white all the way to the right. Please see Sapphire's first post on the "proposed SG costume" thread HERE if you're going to make the SG. Caerbannog said he would be able to create it - After we decide on a name!! We'll decide on SG Officers and duties after creation.

So... Costume design... please, for the sake of continuity, let's make the chest and legs "Tights 1" or "Tights 2" Hair, mask, face details, shoulders, belts, skirt, gloves, and boots may all be your choice. For the ladies' costume, we're using the "Peak" pattern for the chest, "Sharp" on gloves and boots, and "Sharp" on legs. CHOOSE YOUR OWN COLORS! I'm sure not everyone will still want to be blue and white when they are out of SG mode :).
For the gentlemen's costumes, again, "Tights 1" or "Tights 2" for chest and legs, "Pattern 6" on the chest, and "Stripe" down the legs and boots. Face, hair, face details, shoulders, belts, gloves and boots may all be your choice. CHOOSE YOUR OWN COLORS! Again, you may not always want to be blue and white out of SG mode :).

Naming your character: nothing sexually or politically offensive (c'mon gang, we want ppl to join us) and nothing that's a rip-off of a trademarked hero name, right? Right!

Now for something that's very important... the SG NAME!!! I personally like just plain 'ol GameAmp or GameAmpers. Vote on this name here or on the threads "Proposed SG Costume" or "Proposed Rules and Reg's" I'll be keeping track!

I still like the req of 100 GameAmp credit for joining the SG. It'll keep the riff-raff out :). Not that NightMyst is riff-raff!!! nooo!!!

I have posted screenshots of my 2 characters (one's a Mace/Invuln Tank, the other's a Earth/Rad Controller) that I've created on Infinity. One with the color variation between regular and SG mode.

Yes, I realize I'm spamming a bit, here.. but just want to spread the ideas around :)

I have been kinda wanting to try a FF Defender so I created one called MindVoid, a Force Field/Pyschic Blast Defender. Creation we can do either way. I have a Caerbannog character on there that is L14 and can create it or you can create it with your characters. Makes no difference to me. We still need a name though.

I vote for "The GameAmpers"

For the postition titles, the leader of the groups should have the title of "GameAmp", the commanders of the group could be called "Gamer" and the members of the SG can have the title of "Ampers"...or swich them, the commanders could be the "Ampers" and group members could be the "Gamers" (Actually that makes better sense)

Ok, now, I worked a double shift last night and have the next two days off...I haven't slept since 2:30 yesterday afternoon. Please don't razz me too bad for these suggestions! LOL!!

Ok... I too am voting for GameAmpers... either that or the Heros of GameAmp... I think that's kinda cool...

As fot titles... how bout.. Newbie, Gamer, and Head gamer (Lead gamer, Master Gamer... something like that)

After all we all started out at Newbies at one time ;)

or we could pull some of the names from the site like
Sidekick, Hero, and Master Mind... I dont know... just spouting idead off between studying Anat. & Phys... Blah

we also need to come up with a motto... Like "Bringin safe gaming all over the world." or something lika so ;)

I'm not a Super Hero, but I play one on PC!

I like sticking to the GameAmp stuff, after all we are promoting the site. The motto sounds good too :)

Rate other people's posts to give them feedback. I will frequently rate the first post of a new topic at least a 3, because that person is keeping the forums busy. I also will rate posts on how helpful they were to me, or how helpful I deem them to others. Please rate my posts to let me know if they have been useful to you.

Moto sounds cool, and I think Heroes Of GameAmp is also great! Use the same titles as u do on the site (ie sidekick etc...) Caerbannog, go ahead and create the SG, saves me having to quit then rejoin after 100 etc... I look forward to the "SG created, it's called xxxxxxx and we are now recruiting!" See u on emy favorite server!

(btw, I am creating/rerolling one of my characters and being a Fire/something controller)

Heh, I haven't created a character on the infinity server yet but I was planning on making a claws/invul scrapper. I'll post his name later.

Yeah Heroes of GameAmp it is, it has gotten the most votes of any of them so I went ahead and created that SG. I will chance the titles and motto once we decide on one. Anyone interested in leadership of the SG let me know. I created it using my 15 scrapper, but will drop him out once we have leadership in place.

Well I don't think anyone really wants to be a Spitoon (thanks Nogame) so lets skip that one hehe.

btw how is the fire/something controllers now since patch? I had heard they nerfed them a bit with reduction to the effectiveness of smoke and reducing the damage of Imps. Is this the case?

I think i prefer HEROES OF GAMEAMP as the SG name it promote the name of gameamp. Can the MOTD also have the gameamp website so people who join the Sg but not visit the website know where it is.

We could add it to the MOTD, but there has been some talk of having a min cred requirement to join. If we have a minimum of 25, 50, 100 or whatever we settle on we will at least be sure that those who join have found the web page.

So do we still need to add it? I am open to suggestions either way.

I really don't think that with a minimum requirement for signing up we really need to have the site on the page... pretty much everyone is going to know where this is if you've worked hard enough to get 100 cred.

I love "The Heroes of GameAmp" and Sidekick, Hero, and SuperHero are great.

As for who should be leading... I personally think all the staffers should be at least "Hero" if not Superhero.. that way we don't have to wait for certain people to be on to play or invite... etc.

I think we also need to come up with some sort of promotion gague for the group but that can come later.

I'll be logging in With Sapph. a bit doay so if you still need to turn the reins over to someone send me an e-mail or PM as to whe you'll be on and I'll try to be there.

Yeah I think we will make all the core founders at least Hero and staffers can have the Super Hero roles at least to start with. We can do promotions and demotions from there.

But more to the point I was wondering who actually wanted to run the SG? Just because I am the admin for the site doesn't give me some sort of automatic entitlement to run the SG. We have a lot of good folks on board here and I do have to take off from time to time like I did this past trip :)

As long as you give the regular staff members rights to invite or kick from the SG, the rest isn't really that important, anyone can be the Super in charge :) Also, can't u have more than one leader? or do you mean a formal leader listed as such on the site?

I volunteer... I guess... If you really want like a "head" person... but with school I might not be on as much as I'd like... so perhaps a "co-leader" so to speak... that way no one get's upset if I haven't been able to be on in a few weeks with finals and working etc....
