8).. Im confused.. I stopped playing a couple months after release.
Last place I was just getting into the Lava area after the southern Ice land.. 8P..

Well for Chapter 2... running is gone, farming is somewhat down, you have to do quests to get to the next mission, you hit lvl 20 in an hour, new skills, new enemies, 2 new classes..
But the concept is the same.. go out, kill things, do missions, finish game.

oh goodie so nothing for me has changed.. I despised running and farming was boring.. and I did all the quests anyways.. 8).. plus the game has never been about getting to lvl 20 its the skills and what you do with them but eh..

Actually it's got alot to do with the fact that ANet has led players on a series of dissapointments with nerfs (although those dont bother me much), broken promises, and bad judgement.

Nuker ele (enemies now run from AoE attacks), MMs (limits the number of minions you can have), boon-prot (new build due to nerfs)..those are the major ones.
Oh and Chapter 2 was rushed so they could release it by a promised date so it's really buggy (another reason why players are upset)

And nice to see you here, I would almost say "Welcome to GuildWars.GameAmp and have a nice stay!" seeing as you've been so long but that seemed just a bt too much. :P
PS: And for those questioning Dasha, whoever he or she is, he or she must be a good person since - judging by his or her profile - I can tell he or she is errr... very befriended with Lani obviously. xD

Welcome back!
I'm one of the newer people here. As for the negativity, its been an issue that (to me) looks like equal parts of Anet doing something (or not doing something), and people generally overreacting. Course, I'm pretty laid back and tend to sleep through life. I figure I've gotten 500+ hours of good entertainment from $50, so I'm not gonna complain TOO much.
As for Factions, I'm enjoying it and taking my time going through it. Here is a thread that has a lot of good things people like:
