Hey, assuming that GIMP is similar to Photoshop, how do you make the 'Burn-In' go in any direction you want? I've gotten the animation down but I haven't gotten it to go anything other than left to right.
And if 'Burn-In' isn't the correct term for Photoshop, what I mean is where you have 2 layers and the top layer is the one with the moving glow.

Lol you can just make 15 duplicates of the entire sig or something with that gradient in a slightly other place every time and put them behind each other.
Edit: That's how my current sig is done, the file contains 108 copies of the entire sig.

hmmm....
So this raises another question: How do you manage to get that many frames into a .gif? Last time I tried to make a complex gif I was informed that it was too big. And I know that my framecount was lower than yours.

Save for web....its your best friend. I've had gif files with round 300 slides and it still was able to be used as a siggy.

If you don't have many colors in it there often won't be a problem but if you do reduce the amount of colors in your color table to a lower maximum such as 128 or sometimes even 64 and set the compression to 'Adaptive' so that the system viewing the image may reconstruct colors by combining multiple available ones from the color table.
The use of various 'Dither' methods may also create a seemingly smoothening effect on rough low-color surfaces.

Oh yeah, the reason why 'Save for web' is no good btw is that the included color table is discarded and it uses a very limited, locally defined color table.
This can result in your sig displaying not only at a saddening poor quality but also differently on various systems.
