So, Whats your favorite moment?

This thread started up on the official EU forums and I thought that I'd start one here as well,

My favorite moments in CoX have been

The infamous Shadow Shards TF involving the Usual Susupects SG, 3am Finish, 120+ deaths (we kept score, 2 mill Inf prize to the preson with the most deaths), and a truely epic battle with the AV... Cracking night.

The night spent in a team with 4 Controllers and 4 Defenders all of mixed Power Pools was also a top night, that team was amazing.

Firespray and I's numerous drunken 2am chats about just about everything under the sun also have to be pretty high up there.

Oh and when me and Embers (Five/Kin Troller) thought it would be a cracking idea to try and Duo Hami... we did ok for the first 10-15 seconds and would you believe we even thought up a plan of attack (curse you Jack Daniels curse you!!!!)

Mine has to be when Fire, Brig and myslef trio'd the psychic Clockwork King. So many memories, so much pain...

Though anther candidate was DS, Fire and myself on the Synapse TF when some one said "Ew! A gay dating show!". I think somebodies ignore list got little bigger that day...

Favorite moments

Oh I'd forgoten about that one, the TF was good aside from that one moment (go me! 8 man team, no Defender, DS plays healer for the whole TF with only one faceplant, which i may add I was the Faceplantee)... thought Fire's head was about to explode, and quite rightly so.

I don't know if it was my favorite exactly, but I think I will always remember the only all-night session of CoH, running the infamous Positron TF. Completed it just as the rest of the family started to wake up and the sun started peeking into the windows. My wife could not believe I had stayed up all night playing a "silly computer game". Ahhh, good times.

i dont have a 'favorite' moment(s) from playing. sans the new RP SG a few ampers made, i havent played with anyone consistently so i'm constantly in PuGs and most of the time i have a lot of fun with whoever i'm teaming with.

The first time I ripped off a Thunderous Blast in a Malta mission and dropped EVERYTHING!

I was new to the SG I was in, and they kept telling me don't nuke unless we tell you too. Well, they never would let me. So finally, I saw a nice fat group in a dead end hallway, and let the tank waddle in. Then WHAM! Everything twitched and sputtered and dropped to the ground in a big heap. My heart was beating a mile a minute, and the rest of the team was asking "What the hell was that!?".

Evedently they had the mistaken idea that the Thunderous Blast nuke had knockback, combined with a glory hogging leader that let no one nuke but himself.

I said "Uhhh, that was me......"

For the rest of my run through that mission, and for many more to come their tone changed from "Don't nuke unless we tell you to" to "Is TB up yet!?".

Gawd I love being a Blaster!

I'd have to say my best moments are any where I'm part of a team and we all just click! Everybody pulls together and we do things nice and smooth, like we've been teaming for years. It's a truly beautiful thing!

Actually my 2 favorite moments were:

In the FF mis in the hollows, in a large team (so the rooms were way full of baddies) in one of the rooms everything went sound and all of the team went down except me as the healer and 2 blasters. That I recall one of the blasters was even SK'd. We were basically back to back to back in the middle of the room. I was pounding out the heals as fast as I could and passing every insp as it showed up off to either of the 2 blasters who would immediately use it. The blasters were shooting everything they could as fast as they could. All the downed heros stayed and watched and cheared us on and in the end the 3 of us lived through those very intense minutes.

The other was with a blaster in a cave mission (does everybody hate those like I do?) I had gotten a little seperated from my party (as in lost) and by the time I found them they were all beaten down pretty well with way too many baddies still standing. I didn't even have time to get to them. As soon as I was in range I started shooting everything I had trying to pull the agro off them. As soon as somebody hit me I popped up on hover for the def bonus and kept shooting everything I had. I have no idea how many blue and green insp I ran through but believe me I burned everything I had plus everything as it showed up. The bodies piled up under me faster than they could dissapear and it was deep with them by the time I was done.

Those 2 very intense scrambles are very much among the reasons I now COH and don't WOW anymore.

Every intense moment ive ever had in this game is somehow more fun than the last.... thats why i played it.

one night, a long time ago, i was in a mish with lordstarwolfe's pb and my healer. team of 8, all blasters and one controller and us. oh-h-h-h, yeah ;-D
one blaster walked into a room on the ship and was instantly killed by something like 100 guys (im not exaggerateing that much, there must have been 100 guys there.) so, the blaster's down, and i tp him and rez him. we asked "how many in the next room?" he replied "a bunch". i said, "ok, PB pull them around the corner into this room. blasters hit every quantum and void with everything u got the second u see one" so starwolfe taunted into the large crowd and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM CAME!! this was a very large crowd, the entire roomfull it seemes.
he gets behind the corner, and they come. with 6 blasters and a troller blasting away, we still cant kill them faster than they came at us! but Starwolfe did a good job tankin, he was the only one i had to heal.

the fight eventually finished with everyone out of end and full on health, and no one said anything except one blaster said "oww.... my fingers are sore..."

I don't know about the rest of you but i have built up a large quantity of memories over the months i have played my main (Geo, read siggy ) but I will never forget how I began. Just me and a tanker friend of mine taking out trolls in caves. I would heal her and she would take aggro while I immob'd them...I never thought I was going to make fifty so I made as many memories of the lower levels as possible, and in a way I think that has allowed me to enjoy those infamously hated cave mish's.

Geo Wizard: Lvl 50 Earth/Kin With Speed Boost and Stamina yay. Not to mention kick butt holds. Including Volcanic Gases, hehe. And now with his own moronic Animated Stone. And Transference!!! New and improved, 3 lvls in one day, adding to his arsenal Fulcrum Shift..oh yea. Can't wait to get some time under his belt now. I can now hurl Boulders....omfg no he didn't :) I look so pimp in my newest power...its brown and bumpy all over..can you guess?... Thats right is Stone Armor and it is kick butt. Fissure rocks my world! Fifty soon. Fifty on 12-10-2005 at 12:35am after 400hrs of hard labor Wanna throw a special shout out to Illusion Mastor, CBail, Mudpuppy, Jupiter Sweets, Dark Hollow, Lethal Fury, Pan, Majin Tank, Lotus of Death, and all the others i know I am forgetting for their help. And also to all the gameampers here at gameamp whom without I would never have made it.

Yeah, cave missions = YUCK!

Without a movement power, they are semi-annoying, afterwards its 90, wall, 90, wall, etc.......

I have to say, I'm really enjoying reading about everyone's favorite moments. It is making me jones for Paragon City like crazy, but it is great to see why you guys are still so addicted to CoH.

Hee hee! Right on...

My favorite moment was when we were fighting in a warehouse mission and came to that last spot before the big room. A bunch of guys were fighting in a group and started that domino effect. You know, the one where the tank dies and aggro goes from one to another until they're all dead?

Anyway, I'm working on my debuffs and trying to heal when I realize I'm about to die unless I run. In a split second I decide to try to be a "hero"! I jumped into the huddle, fired off Howling Twilight and rezzed ALL of them to full life and endurance just before hitting the floor (at which point their proceeded to kick major butt).

Comments like, "Holy S**t, that was F*ing awesome!" followed.

and about my fav moment.........I think that it would have to include anytime that the sg took something on that was WAY higher and had no porblems defeating it bc we finally figured out how each person plays and meshed our playing styles (Rainah, Phase, Matjan, Magdalen, and Midnight_Rook) othere than that i am still thinking of one thing specific .....

Sunshine exagerates so. That particular mish there was only 70 or 80 baddies in that group. It was fun though.

My most memorable moment, hmmmmm.......you know I've been playing this so long I can't remember all my most memorable moments (lol). I started back before the Winter Lords were in Atlas, if that tells you anything. And no, I'm not talking about the beasts we had last winter.

The one sunshine mentions was up there. So was the one in the mish with 8 tanks and scrappers playing with Spica. "we don't need no stinking blasters" (said with a mexican accent). I think the best one I can remember is the repsec TF with my Wrecking Crew SG mates. Going in with experienced SG mates all of whom know how we all play makes that cast iron SOB-mish a cakewalk. I think we did it in an hour total. That was FUN!

The first time I did the Numina TF was great! The experience was awesome and I just loved the hunting part. I had the Gameamp guide open on one computer and directed everyone to zones like a marshall. It was loads of fun.
