| Need some video card help... |

NVIDIA GeForce2 GTS/GeForce2 Pro That at the moment is my card, but obviouslly it's nowhere near what it needs to be. In the Device manager it says it's location is PCI bus 1, device 0, function 0. Can anybody tell me of a video card that will be compatible with my computer and will be able to run Battlefield 2 pretty well...My budget is around 100

Without knowing anything wbout your motherboard, just by looking at your present card, it will most likely be compatible. However, depending on your motherboard, it may not run in 8x mode or even 4x mode. By the age of your card, I am assuming your motherboard will be 2x or possibly 4x AGP. But the reality of it is, your motherboard could be a PCI only video card board.
If you can, please post your motherboard and processor. Then you won't get bad advice and purchase something you can't use.

I have the AGP 6600GT, with AMD2600 and 2 gigs PC3200 and can run most video settings on high except for lighting and shadows. In the BIOS, make sure the AGP aperture is set for the amount of RAM on your video card, i.e 256MB.

The AGP aperture is not the same as your video card memory and could slow your system down if you set it too high. It sets the maximum amount of memory that your system will use for addt'l vid memory.
Right now, a good number to use is 128mb without knowing much else about your system. Now if you have 2GB or higher, 256 is okay to use for aperture.
