Neither is inherently better. I myself prefer the Luxons because they seem to fit my life outlook better (adaptability and change being good, as opposed to the traditionally-stagnant Kurzicks), because I like the Jade Sea region more than the Echovald Forest, and because they just seem to be more good in the Luxon-Kurzick wars.
Many people are like the gothic architecture of the Forest, though, or think the urzicks are just cooler for one reason or another, so they like the Kurzick side more.
Edit: Oh yeah, I'm pretty sure the ambassadors are in House zu Heltzer and Cavalon, but I haven't really checked (haven't used that much Faction yet), so I might be wrong.

From what I've heard, The Luxon Quests are easier but the Kurzick armors look way cooler. I'm unware of the ambassadors though.

ehm, lol, Kurzick is better in Luxon-Kurzick wars. At least, when I am online... (European) And the armor of Kurzick just PWNS the Luxon armor.
You can say Kurzick is gothic, but gothic is always better than Turtlesoup eaters ^^

Hey I'm a kurzick that switched to luxons ^^ and I say luxons are way better because they aren't as swamped and it seems like the ppl on the luxon side are much more laid back and not so pushy!! but that's just me. :)
But the kurzick armor does look way better, but if u want u can just buy the amber and still be luxon up to u. I personally don't care about armor as long as it's max and does the job XD.
p.s. luxons don't eat turtles lol... but I will say they look like a bunch of hippies XD..

it is all about personal preferance. around the site there are pics of the kurzick and luxon armour and the wars are more or less ballanced out for even wins, so it depends on which armour you like the look of and which are you'd prefer to go though scenary wise.

I can agree with that, the ranger luxon armor actually looks better than the kurzick (which looks incredibly plain) but the warrior armor on the luxon side looks god awful... guess it depends on ur class.
I don't play warrior so I guess it don't matter to me :)

Personally I prefer Luxons, the jade sea is beautiful and it's fun to roam around in it. The Echovald Forest makes me feels depressed and claustrophobic...
The two cultures are inherently different.
Luxons depend on strenght and adaptability to survive on the frozen sea. They value courage and honour. They're a nomadic nation, mostly, so they also dress that way, which I really like. (Kinda like gypsies, you know? They clothing is patched and worn and colourful, really fun.)
The Kurzicks are supposed to be artistic, devout, religion. They have carved their homes into the petrified forest. When it comes to the armours, some of them seem kinda more elegant, or artsy, unlike Luxon armour (in the luxon armour, you can see that they use things like turtleshell fragments and pieces of jade, the Kurzick armour seems to be so much more of a vanity armour to me.)
In the end, it boils down to whose philosophies you like better...
Anyways, I picked the Luxon at random and didn't want to go back. The Jade Sea is just so marvelous. Not to mention, siege turtles are sooooo much cuter and cooler than juggernauts. BOOM! :D

In terms of gameplay it is easier to reach the Luxon main house and to access the Luxon competitive missions (Jade Quarry and the like). For this reason I tend to believe that by and large more new, lower skill players go Luxon.
When trying to access Jade Quarry as a Kurzick you are met with large goups of enemies who move in complex overlapping patrols and ambushes. But as a Luxon you can run to Jade Quarry with almost no combat what-so-ever. I think this contibutes to the players who choose Kurzick being a bit hardier and a little more well informed on how to play the game. That's not to say that Luxon players are bad players, I just think that if you are an inexperienced player it's easier to go Luxon because the learning curve is less steep, a player going Kurzick is thrust into almost FoW-like circumstances and must excel quickly in skill or die.
I'm not taking into account the 'theme' of the faction just the pure enemy distrabution and overall difficulty. Although, it does seem odd that it's so easy to get to the heart of the territory of the Luxon faction when they are supposed to be these fierce warriors. Then again... maybe their are no enemies because the Luxons killed them all ;)
So if you want to judge the faction on aesthetics that's fine, but i'm just giving my 2 cents on actual game difficulty.

You're trying to get baby turtles from place to place while keeping them alive...well, not so easy with craploads of Juggernauts and Kurzicks beating down on you. It's impossible not only to get a group, but it's also difficult to get by with no bonder...

ok 1 my team made it without a bonder, but i was one of the fantastic monks :) (i rule) and 2 i agree it is bl**ody hard to get a team there cuz the mission to get in there is bl**dy hard.

I never really heard of players going to luxons side cause it's easier.. actually I did both I went to kurzick side then switched back to luxons. I think there both pains at times I guess it depends on what ur doing. or playing for that matter XD.

Im a Kurzick becausse of armor but then when i beat the game i went on my warrior and switched to luxons for the Deep elite Mission which they have easier feries there i dont relay kno about the people because i use henchies for basicly evything but i think luxons missions are easier. Also Kurzick Faction is worth more then Luxons cause 1k faction can get u a amber and 1k luxons can get u Jade and amber is worth mutch more

alot of the kurzick and luxon armour i think is equal in coolness other than warrior which looks better for kurzicks and female ranger which looks 1000 times better for luxons.
as for it being harder it seems about the same the beginning of the kurzick side is a bit harder but then it evens out. That hill area North east of cavalon is much harder for me than the explorable areas on kurzick side so it evens out in difficulty the alliance wars are always shifting sides a little but it always gos back and forth so i dont think 1 is better than the other. If your a female ranger tho i'd say go luxon the armour just looks so much better.
Also i think pirate nomad people are cooler than religous losers afraid of the sun.

I'm luxon now for keeps! :) And I still believe that at times some places at certain spots can be harder at some area's and not at others. I mean.. I don't think that anet made a Noob area for just noobs and a hard area for everyone else. I would hope that this is not what the game is about. Who calls who noobs more or whatever.. even though that happens -_-.

well ive experienced on both side and i still consider myself both kurzick and luxon what everybody else may say and i prowdly say: ME LIKE BOTH.
the armor is just WOW at Kurzicks but iff you look at the Luxon you can see some nice things to: helmet for example.
---> kurzick
the area off the Luxon are larger but stacked with stronger enemy try beating 2 rockhide 2 saltspray and a heroe dragon but the kurzicks is more closer and filled with more enemys.
---> luxon
archetecture is very elegance the main city's are fabulous with full off life escpecially in luxon in open view or the kurzick walls.

conclusion they both rock but its all about taste.

My Alliance is Kurzick... but I enjoy the quests and areas of both sides of the map.
I have a set of Armor from each for my Tank, prefering the Kurzick look, but the Luxon cost ;)
If I have to be something, I'd rather just stay Canthan, the Imperial areas of Kaineng are better, even the slums have a certain appeal.

it's all personal prefference, luxons have nicer scenery (in my opinion) but kurzicks generaly hvae cooler armor.
my thoughts?
stay open and switch sides whenever you feel like it :-)
