| Is caltrops and maneveurs worth getting? |

I was wondering if caltrops and manevuers worth getting for a robo/traps MM? I have them both but i also have force field genrator,force fields from pets, i i dont see any differences. Does it help to get manevuers?Also i dont use caltrops that often when soloing and ono teams.If i do well with out it,is it ok to take it out in free respec?Need advise-thanks- City of Heroes

I got Manuevers on my main lvl 40 Ninja/Dark MM at mid level and couldn't imagine going into battle without it. Enhanced with 3 defenses it grants MMs, their pets, and teamates, a +4.3% defensive bonus to everything but Psionic and AoE attacks. And that stacks on your previous defenses. The only downside is that it must be heavily slotted. The best results I've found, with as little slots as possible, is 5 slotted with 3 defense and 2 end redux. So I would say Manuevers is worth getting.
Not sure about caltrops though seeing as I have no experience in that area. However, you might want to ask my Jounin, they seem to know a bit about them.

Definitely caltrops.. they are so annoying to fight against that they make an excellent power choice. The damage over time, the movement reduction and immobility are great.

I haven't used maneuvers, but I can vouch for caltrops. Chuck them on a gorup before fighting, and they will pretty much stay in that nice little group they start off in. As a Robot MM, this is good for two things.
1. Robots' most powerful attacks are their ranged ones. This mean to keep them at their optimum, you need the enemies to stay away. Wheras this can be achieved through knockback, the caltrops will keep the mob in place, away from the robots.
2. Slowing the mob from the start, as I said, keeps them close. This means more of the mob will be hit by any AoEs you and your team throw out. I don't know how many AoEs the robots have, but with Acid Mortar and Poison Trap in the Traps set, you want to achieve optimum AoE-age.

Manuvers will make your force field generater that much more powerful.. same thing with your pets bubbles and anything else that adds defense..
caltrops are very very nice.. can help keep mobs in one place for AE.. can slow them down.. mobs try to get off the caltrops making them stop shooting or hitting you..
both of these moves are defensive moves and will add to your survivability.. i say there both good choices..

My bots kill really fast because when i do mishes, the first five minutes i already have all my bots equiped and upgraded. So during fighting groups, i rarely have time to use caltrops because when i lay them down,all of them are down for the count.So, if i rarely use caltrops,can i drop the power?

Caltrops are fun to make traps for guys, throw down a handful, pull someone and step back, watch as your foes are mowed down by your pets. But keep in mind that i am only like a lvl 14 so my robots aren't incredibly powerful yet

I also got another question bout another power pool. iS aid other and aid self needed if you have traige and also if you protector bots heal 90 percent of your battle drones(mine heal 312 hp)?

Those 2 are debateable. If you have time in the heat of battle to use one of those 2, and you're 'bots or teammates tend to drop quickly in health, I'd say yes. If you want to test it out to see if they really are worth getting, using you're current playstyle, download the Test server because it really does depend onm how YOU play, not what one of us can tell you.

Caltrops, yes defo if you have thugs or mercinaries MM's doesn't matter so much for the others. Manuvers, can be helpful but needs good slotting like with an SO
