| Good way to farm Scales?? |

I need scales for my 15k Luxon armor, but I'm broke so I want to farm them. Are there any sweet spots that can give you loads and loads of Scales?

I don't know that it's the most efficient way to farm scales, but it certainly would be an easy way...
go to shing jea island and find some low level naga (they should be right outside the town in the bottom left corner of the island, forget the name, too lazy to check it).
anyway, the naga drop scales, naga skin, and naga hides amoung other things and both the skins and hides can be salvaged into 2 scales.

If you have access to Tyria, then the imps outside D'alessio's Seaboard and Lions Arch. They drop lots od scales. You can also farm the creatures outside Ascalon City, also lots of scales there.

are we talkin bout shellz as in chitin fragments?
if so i found that the easiest place to farm was outside the estate on shing jea island (after the 1st mish), there are a whack of insects (forget wat theyre called) and usually drop chitin freagments
and u can solo it cus the insects are really low lvls

If you have access to Tyria, farm Jungle Scales or Bog Scales. Both drop scales on a regular basis, as well you can salvage scales from the scale fins they drop.

heey,
u couold go to "leviathan pits" (luxon city) and go down, head for "walking waters" you should find some dragons there. they are not verry easy to beat, but i got 24 scales from only on dragon.(i tought it came from a dragon)

what i am doing to get my scales is farming drakes, you have ok chance of getting something good, with goodish chests, and about 1/3 drops are topaz crests which if salvaged give u about 8 scales
EDIT:best places are outside of elona's reach or in the sanctum cay mission after imps, then u can take out 2 executitioners and have a good chance of rune drop

You would probably be alot faster farming somewhere like fow, uw or the elite missions. selling your stuff, and buying them..i mean like 1 ecto from uw is 7k (at the moment) and scales are like 100g for 10 (roughly) thats 700 scales :)

Yes, UW would probably be faster. No need to even get in small groups, though trapping groups are pretty successeful, if boring.
I personally tend to pick up most of my scales from Hydras. North exit of Augury Rock. The Dessicated Hydra claws salvage for 5-6 scales each.
Also, I don't know about today, but not 2 days ago, 10 scales SOLD for 130 to the trader, you probably are buying then, at 200+/10
