I have been thinking about a Mo/R build and was wondering
1) Judge's Insight
For 8-18 seconds, target ally's attacks deal holy damage and have +20% armor penetration.
is it a spell or preparation? (it lasts for a time just like a preparation does... i believe it is a spell but i wanna make sure)
Does Holy dmg do more dmg to Necromancers or just the undead?
2) Would a preparation work along with Judges Insight?
3) Melee is only a sword, hammer, axe or dagger right? Like a Bow doesnt deal Melee dmg?
4) A ranger with 9 marksmanship and a Monk with 9 Marksmanship will deal the same amount of dmg with a 15-28 req 9 bow right?
5) Would Judge's Insight and Ignight arrows mean you would do x amount of dmg for ignight arrows, but it would be holy dmg not fire.
thanx
+2 cred for each answer answered

This echantment works with all psycical attacks tested it myself
4) A ranger with 9 marksmanship and a Monk with 9 Marksmanship will deal the same amount of dmg with a 15-28 req 9 bow right? maybe :p
5) Would Judge's Insight and Ignight arrows mean you would do x amount of dmg for ignight arrows, but it would be holy dmg not fire. some weird mix of Holy fire? ^_^

ty
i gave you the +10 even tho you gave me a maby :P
im thinking of a Mo/R or R/Mo (cant really decide wich would work better Smiter with a bow and use judges insite along with a preparation and make smiting 16/15 marksmanship 9 (collectors bows are cheap and easy to get) and the rest in wilderness survival (or for R/Mo smiting 12/11, marksmanship 9, wilderness survival 16/15 maby some expertiese)
use smiting to boost bow attacks and use ignight arrow or barrage to spread the holy pain to all the necro/minions
still thinking about making it

If you want to deal the damage with bow skills and Smiting, a R/Mo is stronger. Expertise will lower the cost of your bow attacks. Divine Favour is less useful, as it's only good for making healing more efficient.
For a smiter using spells to boost their allies's attacks, a Mo/R is better, as they will increase damage output and add bonus healing.
Judge's Insight also stacks with Barrage, due to it not being a preparation. Good for devastating the Undead.
*EDIT*
Balth's Aura on a pet makes a good bomb.

Firstly its an enchantment, so yes it would stack.
Secondly, nobody has armour protection vs holy damage, so its good vs all targets.
Thirdly, Holy damage does do double damage to undead, but will only so extra damage to necromancers wearing torturers armour. For each peice of this armour holy damage does an additional 5 damage, so your attacks could do up to a maximum of +20 damage against necromancers with this type of armour. Against necros with other types of armour, such as scar patterns there would be no additional damage.
As for whether melee damage is bow attacks as, i dont actually know.
As for ingnite arrows, unfortunately judges insight will not turn the fire damage into 20% armour penetrating holy damage. I know this becuase other enchantments, such as conjure flame do not have an effect on this secondary damage. I imagine it is the same for Judges Insight.
Finally, you will do the same base damage with a req9 bow at 9 markmanship as you will do with a req9 bow at 10 markmanship. However, additional damage from markmanship skills will be affected by a higher markmanship. If you plan to use barrage, for example, you may get higher damage by dropping smiting by a point, and upping barrage by a couple, even though base bow damage is no affected.

1) enchanment. it stacks with barrage.
about the necro only with tormentor or necronetic otherways its the same. undead indeed more.
2) yes aslong you keep doing physiscal damage.
3) bow is psyshical.
4) yes.
5) ignite arrow is something different an extra thing that flys with your arrows so their is still psycichal damage but also area fire + holy.

Judge's Insight does not ignore armour. Otherwise it wouldn't have 20% armour penetration. The attacks themselves count as holy damage for the purposes of Undead, Necrotic Armor etc, but they are not armour piercing.

yeah i was doubting that,
holy damage is direct just as shadow and dark.
creds for you.
but it still has +20 armor penetration combo with penetrating attack and horn bow make nice hole.

Ah, bingo. There's the difference. Judge's insight deals more like *light* damage. It will ignore all bonuses for physical and elemental damage still, as it is neither.
Holy damage and Light damage are do the same effects, but Holy ignores armor.

yes, The popular barrage/JI ranger, a very nice combo.
Simply boost ur Smiting up so that JI lasts like 15 sec or so, and keep firing barrage at ur targets.
Try combining the 20/20 sundering mod with JI, and then using Penetrating shot..if ur lucky, u can pierce through 60% of his armor.. sick dmg..

That was my initial point, but i did not phrase it very well. My point was that warriors, who usually cary glads armour, have protection againts physical. By making the damage holy you are essentially striping them of that 20 armour.
Essentially, Holy damage ignores all added bonuses on armour apart from absorbtion.
