The other day in a A v A battle i came a across a rather aggront player by the name of sniper linnes he seemed to think he was gods gift to rangers(late found out he though he was gods gift to all of guild wars). Any way he was playina typical stance and throw dirt barrge combo, now so far your thinkin where am i goin with this.
but he continued to pepper the chat with his comments of " im so good you cant kill me" followed up later with " omfg it took 3 of u to kill me your such a wimp"
i was starting to get peeved dont know y but he was hitting the buttons that day and i started to kinda have a go and tell him to shut up. he bacame even more arogont and i though right im gonna hunt you down (scores where luxons 400+(my side) - kurizicks 250+ (his side). Thats what i did i made his life hell for a few mins with my teams monk.
At 1 point i lost the monk and followed to him to a group of aroudn 6-7 kurzicks so i backed off followed by calls of wimp. At which point i explained that chasing him si plain stupid if im gonna die. So he offered a 1 on 1 fight after the game i said ok no probs.
Fight 1+2: he carried on with his ranger i told him i was sorting build on war he said okay. So i swapped 2 skills and res for wild blow sheilds up defensvie stance. we fought i won quickly. His excuse was that he forgot skills. so we thougt again i won.
Fight 3: he then challegend je to fight his ele build and i asked if i coudl reroll as a mes he said okay. I rerolled as a mantra of eles with iw to make it even he said okay. Again i won easily.
Fights 4 + 5: he though a guildy with both his ranger and ele and again lsot quickly.
Fight 6: he said he want to use ranger again i said ok gonna rerol as a nec. He said no probs, so i thought life dgen ftw with a few vamp skills. Ne way a 6th staright easy win for us and he still cried.
He then bcame the worst lsoer ever calling us pu**ys and what and saying we sucked. he then said i sucked coz i used stances and mantras to which point i responded def is best form of attack.
Any one had a similar thing happen.
P:s: if u wanna feel good about your GW skills off sniper linnes a 1 on 1 and have fun.

yeah i met such brave people in pvp before....but then i just went with my assa and put them to rest a few times

Yeah, the classic is always the wammo in RA who believes he is the best, and the only reason he cant kill anything is becuase people 'run away like cowards'
Once i spent about 30 mins attempting to explain the virtues of kiting, and how a warrior might go about preventing casters from running away.
Now, your average wammo may just be a new players trying to getto grips with PvP. Thats fine, and i think its harsh to call them 'noobs' in the derogatory sense, even if they are newbies. What really defines the term noob are the people who think they know everything there is to know about GW, refuse to try anything you suggest, and yet still run a build which is clearly ineffective (yes i am talking to you mister dolyak signet)
Anyway, good work on making a mockery of that ranger. I find that in 1v1 not much can win against a interupt ranger or an illusion mesmer, so the test is really rather pointless, but it does pay to beat people who think it means the world. Beat them at their own, if pointless, game, and they may reconsider their position. More often than not, they cant lose gracefully, and the word 'cheat' and 'wimp' tend to be said a lot.

ok vs and illusion mesmer a smite monk/mes with anti hex skills and vs an interrupt a good degen warrior

you saying dolyak sig is bad???
cus it works wonders in PvE in larger battles where you dont really have to move much

My favorite are Wammos running Frenzy and Mending. They make it too easy to kill them.
Shatter Enchant: 200 dmg
Ineptitude: 200 dmg
Clumsiness: 200 dmg
Conjure Phantasm: Cancelled, he's already dead
Once I met this monk who thought he was invincible. He was running Mo/E with earth skills and Spellbreaker. He kept talking in Local chat how we wouldn't be able to kill him.
So first off, I interrupt his Spellbreaker. Then he gets it up again (must've had a 20% skill recharge in Divine). So he gets it up and begins laughing again.
So I run up to him and use Chiblains. He's pretty angry by now. So then he kept insulting me, then challenged me to 1v1.
Alright, so a battle between a Mesmer/Necro and a Mo/E.
If you've ever played a mesmer, I don't really have to go into details. But I kicked his butt. Smite Skills and slowcasting earth skills are so fun to interrupt. I killed him only using Power Spike, Power Leak, and Mantra of Recovery.
