Hey everyone,
Has anyone ever noticed something wrong with the gods? I mean they have a Warrior God (Balthazar) a Monk God (Dwayana) a Necro God (Grenth) a Ranger God (Melandru) and even a Mesmer God (Lyssa) so my question is why was an Elementalist God left out?
I always wondered about that...
But I guess now the Assassins and Ritualists don't have Gods either (I believe, don't have GW:F)
Also, how does the Great Dwarf fit into anything?

water=Grenth
And I assume Assassins are Balth's and Lyssa.
Ritualists are Melandru's and Grenths.

I'm not sure about this, but i think that in GW:F Tenai is the god of the elements. Each element has a spell that is called Tenai's ..... Not sure if that is the god but it sure seems like it. Also there is Rodgort for Fire like Rodgorts Invocation.

The Great Dwarf is the deity that the Deldrimor Dwarves worship. The Dwarves believe him to be the greatest smith, having taught them the arts of mining and crafting in which they excel. They believe he left Tyria and now lives in the Great Forge : the "heaven" of the Dwarves. Few among them believe he will ever return. Presently, there are no known depictions of the Great Dwarf.
www.guildwiki.org
As for Elementalist god, Earth is Melandru, Fire is Balthazar, Water is Grenth, Air is Dwayna.
According to the manuel Assassins follow Lyssa or Grenth.
Not sure what Ritualists follow but i think one of em is Grenth.

Yes, I've read wiki, but it seems kind of cheap to the Ele's I mean the GW team couldnt come up with anything? I personally think they got the shaft.
Also Rodgert was just a wizard, not a God
And I want to know how the Great Dwarf fits in with the other Gods because it doesnt seem like he does. IDK, the closer you looking into the GW story the cheesier/cheaper it gets
Also: TY for the responses and efforts to help

Ele's got the shaft? On the contrary. I really liked how GW handled the gods. It's not so simple as Monks=dwayna and warrior=balthazar.
For instance, Smiting monks often follow Balthazar:Balthazars Aura, Balthazars Spirit.
Ritualists who use Restoration magic can be followers of Dwayna, the others follow Grenth.
Assasins are pretty much stuck to Lyssa though.
Eles:
Earth = Melandru
Air = Dwayna
Fire = Balthazar
Water = Grenth
(Someone above has already said this)
Rangers are strictly followers of Melandru, Necros are for Grenth, Mesmers are for Lyssa.
But remember, you character has a secondary class too. If you're simply a fast cast fire mage, you're probably a follow of Balthazar before Lyssa.
EDIT: Oh, and don't forget Menzies, Balthazars Half Brother. Dunno what's up with him though.

It's time to clear everything up, straight from the Guild Wars Manuscripts pages 18-21.
Grenth - God of Death and Ice. Classes that worship him - Necromancers, elmentalists, assassins, and ritualists
Dwayna - God of Life and Air. Classes that worship her - healing monks and elementalists specializing in air magic
Balthazar - God of war and fire. Classes that worship him - warriors, fire elementalists, smiting and protection monks.
Lyssa - God of beauty and illusion. Classes that worship her - Mesmers and assassins.
Melandru - God of earth and nature. Classes that worship her - rangers, earth elementalists, and many cultist sects (necromancers and ritualists I am guessing)
Ok, hope that clears things up. As you can see, there is not one god for each proffesion.

One, thing i haven't seen brought up, is the fact the when a server has favor, and you can get those neat little buffs from the gods, I have yet to see buffs for the A's or the Rits abilities, only the "core" classes.
Whats up with that? Are the buffs also available in Tyria?(haven't played that side of the map in some time.) Even if they are available in Tyria, A's and Rit's are going back and forth all the time, so shouldn't they be able to get some buffs.
I taste like Peanut Butter.
I am one of the most blendable flavours; I go with sweet, I go with sour, I go with bland, I go with anything. I am practical and good company, but have something of a tendency to hang around when I'm not wanted, unaware that my presence is not welcome. What Flavour Are You?

I've seen a buff to ritualist skills from the Grenth Avatar. Not sure about sin skills though.

Tenai is an old hero in Cantha. If you do the Tahnnakai Temple someday you will fight the Bond spirits of heroes of Cantha. One of each class.
