| New Level 40 - The experiment is OVER...for now |

RonJ73 FINALLY hit level 40 today. This has been my Newspaper Grind experiment character. I started him on 2/14/06. He has a total of 115 hours. I've never teamed with the character, and the only story arcs I did were Kalinda and Mongoose. When I got to Port Oakes, I started doing Newspaper missions.
Things I've learned:
* You get more experience per hour doing "Defeat Boss and Guards" missions than any other, however, there's usually less risk factor in the "Steal Item" missions.
* Kidnap missions should be avoided at all costs, as they eat up too much time.
* Heists give more experience per hour than any other mission, however, for some reason they're usually a good distance from your broker. If you travel fast, they're worth it.
* Although you may be tempted to do the PvP missions, you don't net much more experience per hour with them. All of them are "Defeat all" missions, so they take too much time. However, you should do them all a few times to get the badges.
* The PvP Patrol missions are totally worth it. Do them until you can't do them anymore. (The game only lets you do the patrol missions a few times in each zone)
* Archon Rossi is apparently indestructable, because I've destroyed him an uncountable number of times! Same goes for Officer Chalmers.
* The Lost max out at level 30. Any Lost in a mission that would spawn higher than level 30 will spawn as Rikti. Rikti are RARE in the game, so farm them for badges if you have to. The way to make this happen is to be level 28 and set your difficulty to the max. Any missions that you take through level 28 and 29 with Lost in them will spawn Rikti.
* Skyraiders max out at level 35. No matter how high your difficulty is, they will never be higher than 35.
* RIP max out at 40.

First off, GRATZ!
Thanks for the Info, I have recently hit 40 with my main toon and want to work on my others. Story arcs are getting pretty tiring. They do lead to an enhancement, but getting through those low levels as quickly as possible would be great.

The pre-travel levels were pretty darned slow. Thankfully in Port Oakes, all of the non-CoT missions are usually around the same area, so it wasn't too bad. But those early levels are rough. After a travel power and stealth, my missions went by REALLY quickly.

Tell me about it. Gold Brickers suck! They make the Hollows look inviting.
I was wondering, you said it took you 115 hours, how much per day on average did you work him?

Unknown. I only get to play a couple days a week and only for a few hours at a time. The 115 hours was 115 hours of gametime. (You can talk to a citizens who's name begins with M to find out how long you've been in game for)
