Speeches
They motivate some, influence some, grab some, anger some and so on.
Speeches are a driving force to help people to accomplish something. I noticed that the love for this site and for the game itself needs to be preached. The correct way to put it, AMPed so that the staff of this site get the appreciation that they deserve. We need people to take the stage and give their speech on:
Why I love Gameamp and the Staff members?
Gameamp is the best site because?
Gameamp helps me in life by?
or
anything and everything dealing with gameamp, guild wars, or the gameamp staff members in a POSITIVE way.
Now I would like all to give their attention to our first poster and the rest who follow.
EDIT: Poetry (sonnets, non-rhyming...) is acceptable as well.
EDIT: If there is anything that you would like to give a staff member feel free to do so! If you provide a time to meet them and arrange it. (E.G. eggnog, ale, weapons, shields, chocolate (probably will cause some fights if you send edible items like that.) or any other way you can show your appreciation! Possibly photoshop and picture experts could easily make personal cards to staff members :) idk be CREATIVE! Above all have fun, and show them you appreciate their time and effort into this site.

Today there are a lack of caring people. You might think that I am just talking about the "real world" but I am sad to say that I am not. When I first entered into PC gaming I came in thinking sterotypically that most people who play PC games are good students, or computer programmers, and that I was going to stand out alone in this crowd. I thought of them all as honest people, with the mindset of, "who would cheat in a game?" It didn't take long for me to change my mind, and to have a complete look at the PC world.
In such a virtual corrupt world I felt like there was no light in PC gaming. I am glad to say that gameamp has proven me wrong. I am glad that there was a time a while back ago where Nogame and some of the others realized this need. They very well knew that not all people had to be like this, and they made an effort to find these people. They give us an opprotunity to search for OUR OWN long lost gaming friends. Gameamp is not hear to inform you that they are hear, but also to help you find others. Today all of you take a look; turn around, because when you do you will be happy to see friendly, helpful people who were looking for the same escape, the same light in the PC world. Gameamp has turned me around, and I don't know how I could ever go back. Are you ready for change? Gameamp is leading the way, join the march. Yes, march on to PC gaming paradise, isn't that where you want to be?

I love this site. All the staff do a wonderful job. This is the best Guild Wars site on the Web by far. I am on this site every single day, I hardly feel the need to visit any other GW sites (cept Wiki of course).

Gameamp is a brilliant website and i am always on it as its my homepage. everyones friendly in one way or another.
they also have a great guild and are good leaders to the alliance.

Wow its so nice to read your speach Jade, Im so pleased that we at gameamp are managing to do our job and do it well, but of course its all about the members and thats where we are so darn lucky, such a great group of people.
I know when I very first joined this site I was majorly impressed by the amount of excellent replies I got to my first few posts, from that moment on I was hooked. I feel its an honour and a privlage to work for such a great community and I love every minute of it, things like this thread just add to the joy and bring a big cheesey smile to this geeks face. Thankyou.
The staff rock, the devs rock, the members rock so therefore the site rocks - well done one and all :=)
Ok I think im gonna be sick now after all that niceness... seriously I love it here and glad everyone else does too.

yes indeed gameamp is an amazing site that has given joy and help to many and has been a fantastic place to be on many a day and night, and i look forward to many more, keep up the good work amp staffers.

Most of you don't know me, but I have been staff on the CoH site for a looooooong time. I just wanted to pop in on this thread to tell you what keeps me coming back to Gameamp every day...

There is some glitch in our work network that makes it so that I cannot access Gameamp for hours at a time. Now that's pretty painful, since Gameamp is sometimes my GW surrogate when I can't play at work, either due to CPU demands or being too busy on a job to play a game (but not surf the web).
It was especially bad this morning when I couldn't access it (again, mysteriously), so I took the opportuniy to cruise around some other GW sites. Every time I do, I'm underwhelmed. I'm not sure what it is about GA, be it the layout, the people, or that I've posted enough here that I feel like "part of a community," but I just can't stand going to other sites!
Finally GA came back for me around 1:00 and I practically hugged my computer. I was REALLY needing some GW love today...

Jade's story,
I almost about to quit guild wars. I have found that I am done with everything, and it was no longer fun for me. I decided to do a mission out of no where, and needed a map for my first time ever to get to one of the bonuses. I came across this site, and really used it a lot. After some skill caps, and some town searching I realized I was using this site and felt as if I already joined. I wanted to talk on the forums, and since then my love for the game grew, because your love and appreciation for the game rubbed off. I found that they're kind people in this game, and also helpful people. To here Jade being used on a website is just amazing to hear. To have a 1,000 post topic just for ME, because I THOUGHT it would be a cool goal. I felt like gameamp has given me the most generosity than anyone on this site. I feel as if I am most expierenced to tell you how nice of a community this is, and I felt it appropriate to share that, because I have recieved the most (i feel) so I have the most to give. :)
Thanks to gameamp staff. NOT GUILD WARS ONLY, but as the fellow staff of CoH commented. Yes this goes out to all the staff out there, and I wish this topic could be reposted on every site. If there are willing people who would like to help on this, please provide them a link and send them here so they can recieve the proper recognition as well.

Well, I posted a link to this thread on the Network Wide Staffer Forums (yes we have them and they are scary!). I wanted to share the joy of this thread w/ all the staff, so they can see that their hard work does count for something.
And I hope there are a lot of our members who feel the way Jade does. The community here is what I strive for, it is my main job, and what matters the most. It is really GREAT to see that it is appreciated.

I want to take a moment to turn the tables on you. Stab you members in the back, as it were. Not really. Anyway, you know we all love this attention, much like a child craves the attention of the guy driving the ice cream truck around during the summer. I'll tell you what though, there are very few forums I go to besides this one, even before I was staff. I do go to one other (not GW-related though) but I've never felt I'm a real part of it. You members all say its because of the staff here that we're such a great site. Surely we update the site with cool new stuff, but nontheless I beg to differ on the point of community. We the staff have very little to do with it.
The staff has gone through quite a few changes since I first became a member here, which by the way was quite accidental. I had every intention of being a one-post wonder. Just for kicks, though, I checked back on my post to see if I had elicited any responses. I got such a positive response on my post, with people even suggesting I submit it as a guide, and ever since then I have been coming back. But it wasn't staff who replied to my thread. It was regular members. The staff can only do so much to hold a community together. Without people like you guys, we can't do a thing. The very fact that you all have voiced your appreciation of us is proof enough that you members are yourselves more excellent than I could have hoped for in any other forum. Thank you for being the members you are, and thank you for appreciating us as you do.
And now, the tables have been turned and I have appreciated you. My work here is finished.

Though i haven't been a member of these forums for very long, i have been a regular visitor ever since i bought Guild Wars which was many moons ago. The first thing i noticed upon looking at these wonderful forums was the sense of a helpful and kind community, the second was the glorious information on anything and everything to do with Guild Wars.
Took me a while to decide to become a member and now that i have created an account i am pleased!!! Everyone here is helpful, the staff are excellent! By far the best forum team i have ever experienced!!!
As a mere visitor i roamed this froums about an hour a day. Now as a member im spending about 3-4 hours on here a day, dunno why but i guess im hooked ^^

I am a member of 4 guild wars communities, but none of them can compare to the "family feeling" that atleast I feel when I am here. It makes me come back, over and over again. I am hardly at any other GW sites besides this one anymore, except gw.com ofcourse ;)
