Good Lord! Lincoln Logs? How old are you Phase? Sounds about as old as I am. I had those too, and transformers, GI Joe. Star wars action figures were big too. Legos were always my favorite though.

I LOVED those things!!!! But it really did seem that they slowly dissapeared over time. Like one day I would have a ton of them, and after a few weeks I could only find enough to build the base of a house.

No really that never crossed my mind.....
I tried to build a fort with catapult. I just seem to run out of Lincoln Logs before I got to the catapult. *Yes you can build a catapult with Lincoln Logs. It just requires some rubberbands.*

I'm with Hobs. I LOVED the animal Transformers. And the original HotWheels tracks. Not the new "watch your car zoom around this pre-made track" ones but the ones that came with all of the little orange ramp pieces, that you could make anything you wanted out of.

The water rocket. You filled it with water, placed in on the special pump, filled it air, unhookd the clamp and got doused with water as it shot into the sky.

Best part of the Lincoln logs was the smell when you open the can,...mmmm, varnish!
Going back in years here but The Micronauts were kick ass toys, lots of tiny parts I would shoot at my brothers eyes, those were the days.

Yikes ! What are all these things y'all are talking about ?
What's a mi-cro-naut ? Lincoln Logs ?
I'm almost actually serious.. All this stuff was before my time, but my step-dad had a lot of those so I do know what you're talking about. He even still has a bunch, which was what I was going to ask, whether anybody else still had any of these toys and stuff..?

How about Battle Beasts..? Remember those ? not much to actually play with, but they were still cool. How about M.A.S.K. ? with the transformer-esque changing vehicles.. Transformers now-a-days are all plastic and cheesy. Original Optimus was good old metal.. and Skyfire/Jetfire..
I was into my teens as my little brother was growing up into an age able to play with those.. so that allowed me to keep buying them, so I could say they were for him.. he's the one actually still has all the stuff. I know he's sold all of the oringinal Star Wars stuff ( ahhhhh ! ) and maybe the M.A.S.K. stuff, but the Transformers and Legos I know are secure for the moment. Toys just aren't the same anymore.

Easy. Legos and Transformers.
The space shuttle and boombox (with cassettes) were my favorites.
As for Legos, I built a custom four part, interconnecting space ship that I loved so much that before I could take it apart, I made a blue-print/diagram of every peice so I could rebuild it.
The diagrams had color and every single bump on every peice (they were pretty detailed, and I just realized that I was a very anal 10 year old).
It was probably about a foot and a half long when it was fully assembled.

I loved Transformers, but my mouth used to get dry trying to make that freaking cartoon sound while I transformed the toys. It just didn't have the same effect. :P Also, I saw Nintendo mentioned. I picked up my 8-bit when I turned 8, and I haven't looked back. I think the invention of the console system revolutionized "toys."
