So I just thought I'd ask. What do you guys/gals think of the idea of a Warcraft Movie being in the works. We all know the track record of video games being turned into movies but they claim that it's going to be different this time out....though they usually do.
Personally I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand I'm kind of excited and on the other I'm completely dreading it.

i think the movie will be "interesting".... as long as it isnt like the D&D movie i saw on tv.... it was terrible =(.

I don't reeally see how they can make a WoW movie...I mean, the game doesn't really follow a storyline, you do what you want...UNless the game is showing a guy get to lvl 60 in 2 hours? lol

I think it would be great if it's executed well, but if it isn't done well (which will probably be the case) then it will suck reaally badly.

Haha They shou7ld put a gold seller in the movie and have blizzard come in a superman outfit and like kill him in movie and all! LOL

LoL... I posted about this in the Rumors forum. Oh well... Anyway, I don't really know what the story could be about. It's either going to be about what's already happened from Warcraft -> Warcraft 2 -> Warcraft 3 -> WoW, or what happens after Arthas becomes the Lich King. Personally, I think it would be cool if they did both. I love the story from the first Warcraft all the way through WoW. If you actually follow the whole story, which not too many people do, then it really gets exciting, and the story is entertaining and captivating.
Another option could be that it's about someone totally different while other things are going on around him. That wouldn't be too bad, but you never know... that's what a lot of those books are about that are written.
Who knows though.

i think if they make it like an anime it could turn out good i guess,
this would eb the storyline,
1v1 battles to leaders
horde vs alliance battles,
it would play in both sides

Well, I read in an article a while back, they don't intend to copy the warcraft world or story into movie form. What they plan on doing is writing a story for the movie set in the warcraft universe. They aren't apparently taking this job lightly either. Blizzard knows what they want and they don't seem like their willing to cut any corners to get there.
I think it's going to turn out just fine if not a great movie.

I think, and im probaly right, the only thing what will be from WOW will be HORDE AND ALLIANCE and SOME MONSTERS maybe a instance and the races and classes....and maybe...just maybe a hint about the professions
