They are getting behind on a lot of the things that were promised shortly after the release of factions. Character slots, upgrade NPCs, improved storage, haven't seen any of it yet.

I almost threw my computer through the window when i heard about this, i bought guild wars 2 times just so i could make 2 extra chars, coming to a total of 60 GBP for both gw & factions

no, i had 2 accounts before factions so i could have 1 char of each profession, but i wanted to play factions with the 2 chars on my second account aswell as the ones on my main account so i had to buy it 2 times

GW.com it's the main website with all da news and stuff and pics and blah blah blah ect.
But it got most of the info on there.

OMG, do we really have to pay to get more storage slots?
ok, that i have to pay for extra charr slots is fine with me but to pay for ugradeing NPC's and storage slots is just... mean!

True but if you think about it they should make us pay RL cash because if it's i don't know £5 for 10 extra storage slots, i rather pay £5 for extra storage than have A-Net have to stop Guild Wars due to lack of money, Then we would of lost 30 GBP (or 50 USD) and have no Guild wars to play.

I went through guildwars.com's news section ... I don't see anything about this 9.99/ character slot ?

Just to clafify, they are planning on adding new characters slots for 10 bucks each. They are also planning on adding FREE upgrade NPCs for armor improvements only I think, and increasing storage size, or just generally improving storage, for FREE. Those last two are going to be regular updates, hopefully in the very near future.

I can't wait either. I am also waiting for the Guild storage that was said to be shortly after Factions release. That will help trading between my two accounts considerably.
It would be nice if Anet or Gaile could give us updates on how these items are progressing. Of course specific dates are not needed since that just causes the griefers to complain louder when the exact date is not met.

I love the idea, yet let's say Bill Gates plays GW, if he pays 1,000,000$ he can make extra 100,000 charecters? Yikes!
Since the game cost 50$ or so, and you get 4 slots when you buy it, if you buy 1 char for 10$, after you buy 3 charecters (If you combined accts, this way you can have 1 from each proffesion with access to Tyria and Cantha, and 1 slot for PvP char).
Phrophcies: 50$
Factions: 50$
3 New slots: 30$
Tottal: 130$
9 Charecters for 130$ with access to the whole game with all the charecters. Sounds good to me!
Now I only need to buy Factions and I'm set =P

Do you really want to share a 25 slot storage between 9 characters? Mine could easily be filled by one of my characters lol, and i have 9 characters across 2 accounts(one proph/fac, one just prophecies).Also im not sure if you will be able to add character slots above a certain number, unless they make changes to the login screen.

why should you buy character slots.. i got 9 and i have 10 characters.. i dont like making anything double and everyone has at alst 1 or 2 characters he doesnt like so if u just make ur other characters lvl 20 and all skills all armor u want u dont need a new charcter or room for a pvp character, do u?
