I dont know how everyone else feels..but Factions has been a bit of a let down to me..i enjoyed Prophecies so much more..i would love if they brought the next installment back to tyria with a new threat..i know they arent but its something i would really be into..i havent been playing nearly as much as i did and im starting to lose interest...so ive come back to tyria messing around goin for master cartographer...how does everyone else feel and what would everyone think about a new threat in Tyria for a future installment?

I think what Rogue means if Im not mistaken is that a new campaign that poses a new threat to Tria is a good idea but hes wondering how you would differentiate between those with original prophecies and the campaign with the new threat to Tyria since they should have different content in each. I could be wrong but i believe that is the point rogue was making.

Sometimes you might feel this way, and that is expected. A-net has created a system for us to always keep occupied. Ev everyone complains about factions, but you know what? I dont even have it and I still have fun thanks to good members and also good goals. the titles offered allows us to make our name to the full and really do our best. Dont ever give up on guild wars but improve, because it is a fun game. And to just be part of such a community should motivate you to keep on going. I enjoy your topics and comments, and dont ever stop playing cream of the crop.

One thing that has attacked my mind like a monkey on a banana is this: What if A-net made campaigns for the Charr and Tengu?! Think about it, you make a charr character, and eventually fight Tyrian people in PvP! Or make a Tengu character, and help or fight the Tyrian/Cantha characters. Small idea, but I'd love to see it happen. I WANT A TENGU WARRIOR!
Also, I'd also like it if they put in special race stats if this ever happens. +hp for the charr, cause...well, just look at them, they look tough. +speed for the Tengu, cause they're birds...just another thought....

I myself am also a bit disappointed in Factions, but it might be due in part to the fact that I lost my guild at the same time I got Factions... Hopefully when I find another good guild (hopefully AMP) it'll be more exciting.
I have been having a lot of fun going back and trying for titles, though. My monk is only 4 bonuses away from being a Protector of Tyria, for example, and I intend to chart the entire planet with my warrior. And I just started a new ranger yesterday who will be devoted to attaining the Survivor title, so I still have things to do.
The Canthan campaign seems a bit too transparent, though. You just know what's going to happen almost from the very beginning, and then... IT DOES! Not like in Tyria where you go to Kryta, expecting the undead to be the major opponents for the whole game, then you find out that the White Mantle are evil, then you find out that they're just puppets, and THEN you find out that- GASP! The Undead WERE the major opponents for the whole game after all!
Also, Canthan scenery doesn't match up to Tyrian stuff. It's much too bland; either brown city, grey forests, or green sea is all you see.
I do enjoy the assassin class, though, and new skills are always a plus. Also, the new enemies are generally pretty neat; the Afflicted especially are unique in that they always explode when they die and you can't prevent it. So, overall I'd say I LIKE factions, but it just isn't as good as Prophecies. Had I gotten factions as a standalone game, I wouldn't have kept with GW as I have.

I have to agree with Necro Rebel and Cream of the Crop. My biggest complaint is the fact the game is too short. I got the game may 5th(delay cause I bought the CE). I beat the game 2 weeks ago(that was only playing 2 days week due to my work schedule. Prophecies took me almost 5-6 months to fully complete).Im at the point now where I look at the game icon on my computer and decide,would I rather play CIv4 or Guild Wars.UNfortunately, Civ has been winning as of late. Hmmmmm.... I wasted $60 on game that was all flash and no substance. Imho.

The start of factions is kinda slow and boring but once u get into it, it becomes alot more interesting and more challenging towards the end... I impressed with the new skills, i gotta say a-net has done a good job with that. so ye i aint complaining. To be 100% honest i did prefer prophecies more but thats just me... its always fun to try somin new.

Just so you understand im not bashing ANET and im not quiting GW lol ive put far too many hours in to do that :)...theres just something about Tyria that makes me feel at home...it just works and i would love to see somethin more of Tyria..problem is i know they will continue to make installments with different far off places that will never grab me like Prophecies did...but i know somethin new another Tyrian threat would put me right back into the mix...i see what rogue was saying now and i dunno how they would differentiate but im sure ANET could work something out...give me Tyria or give me death lol

Factions put me off guild wars, i used to play all the time but when factions was released i played factions for about 2 weeks and have never played it since, factions has real put me off guild wars, waste of money in my opinion.
