Does the "Whenever you block a projectile in this way" apply to melee attacks as well?

I don't think so....projectile is things like arrows and elemental stone dagger attacks. They are attacks from flying/thrown objects.

U have 75% to block all attacks (melee/arrows/projectile spells) Only when shot at with arrows does the whirling defense do 5-10 damage.. useful skill but IMO go with lightning reflexes.. same thing without the damage but it makes you attack faster.

Thanks thats excactly what I thought just had to make sure.
I'm writing some builds and one is for Elona.
You can make the Dune Burrower attack you so the Whirling works =) but then might get intterupted =(

Definitely not, a projectile is something coming at you from a distance which has been "detached" from the attacker it's coming from.

If one could throw an axe for example, then it would become a projectile attack.
