As the title implies, what is the most "noob" thing you've done in GW?
For me, I just finished my 15 attribute quests on my warrior, and decided to go to FoW for my first time. I didn't know we were in a chest run. When we spawned, instead of going back against the wall and going to the right, I rushed the left side and tried to kill the shadows. They then killed half of my group and the ghostly.
what about you?

I kept using UW builds in the ToPK, not realizing that they were two different underworlds. Needless to say, I never made it very far :)

didnt pay attention in a trade and got scammed
instead of getting 52k for a superior vigor ( few months ago )
i got 52 gold...
i still got the scammer on my 'friend list' ... don't know why but il get him one day cuz a-net didnt help me

Here's a raft of them that most people have probably done at one time or another:
-the Leeroy Jenkins style aggro.
-sell dyes to merchants for 1 gold.
-forget to bring res sig on a group mission.
-as a ranger, forget to bring Troll Unguent (or any kind of self heal).
-salvaging an awesome weapon.
For my specific noobness:
-not realizing that Ignite Arrows counted as an AoE effect.
-the first time I got to post-sear Ascalon and saw everybody trying to sell weapons, I tried to sell some low level whites that I found right outside.

lol i did the second thirs and fifth one but i dunno what else i did besides bringing a few parties to the untimely death lol i had no clue what the groups were for lmao

He means that u didnt know u could do it. He felt stupid because he thought u couldnt mod them when you could. Im assuming this anyways.

OMG LOL! Just remembered mine...
...It was my 2nd trip into the Deep as my first trip was unsuccessful and everybody was just excited to be there. This time I was with organised team on TS (which i hosted). So we got through all stages of the deep (if confused about the deep, im posting a guide on it soon), and we got to the final stage with permenant -8 health degen and the final boss Kanaxai or sumthin.
I was playing on my warrior and was told to be a hammer warrior as knockdowns were vital to killing the boss, in brief, you can only take away so much dmg before you have to knock him down then you can remove abit more HP, then knockdown etc etc. But everytime you knock down 10 nightmares spawn which is gay cos as your killing them, he heals himself lol...
...Anyway, I was with a team of guildies (not my guild) and they had assigned certain people to do each knockdown. I was told I had to knock him down after 55 seconds of fighting. So we all ran in towards the boss and the first skill I use...Hammer Bash (knockdown)...10 nightmares spawn and take everyone by suprise, team died...in about 10 seconds, I signed of TS asap and recieved a swarm of PMs so I had to sign off.
Oh I felt like such a noob...oh well, good to get that off my chest...

I did the quest Passage thru Dark River with a PuG. I was playing MM and I had about 20 lev 18 minions(pre-nerf) when we reached Old Jones. I totally spaced out and ran and talked to the NPC, warping out, leaving the remaining members of my group to face my now masterless minion horde.
My minions proceeded to destroy them all before they could talk to NPC...EXCEPT Alesia!!! She managed to stay alive somehow and rezzed them so they were able to finish the quest as well.
I felt so stupid, definitely the most noobish thing I have ever done.

lol dont worry dude i do not, and in many months probably still will not how to tackle the elite missions.
but as for the noobest thing i've ever done...probably join a group for a mish, then it turns out they're doing some sort of quest and not realising it was until i pressed m and saw how far from the mish area i was.

... i made a guild with a cape and hall, tryed to get members, then a bud wanted me to go to his guild so i wasnt thinking and i left the guild with no members in it-_-(took all my money too)

I think I got my helm a few weeks later actually, when I found out how to make alot of money in GW

I know someone on xfire forums who sold a max, gold req 9 crystalline to merchant. THAT would suck.

OMG: I sold a black dye to a guy for 100g, when I was on my first char. I also sold my Kole's Torment to a merchant for 200g, thankfully they're only worth 2k so I could buy another one. I never carry a res sig so I guess that's noobish. I've often sold gold weapons with perfect mods to merchants for low prices before I realised that some non green items were worth more than 200g. I've probably merchanted an 100k item once or twice, ARGG!
I was playing a mission and my mum called me for some chores. We were close to the end so I thought I'd complete the mission. We did it and I logged out, only to find later that I'd logged out before the mission shield has appeared and I had to do it all over again.
I almost all the missions, up until the riverside province, in the wrong order. Therefore I couldn;t follow the storyline.

GW is my first ever online game so of course I was a pure noob at start. So noob in fact that I was afraid to take henchmen of any kind cos I thought they sucked the life out of me/ ruin my char or something. So I ended up going SOLO in old ascalon with a level 6 ELEMENTALIST/Mesmer in pre searing (not collector's either) armor with a skill bar that had 7 different attributes. I actually pondered how it could be so hard to kill 3 or 4 Devourers (let alone bosses).
This is the skill bar I had then:
Flare, aura of restoration, armor of earth, lightning javelin, frozen burst, fire storm, conjure phantasm, ether feast.
Btw, this skill bar is copyrighted :P

I didn't pick up a black dye that dropped in pre on my first character. When I got to post and saw how much it was worth I punched myself. I felt so stupid.

I have a funny one, when I first got the game. I had no clue what to do or where to go I was content on getting little quests and running around pretty ascalon. Anyway, I never knew there was an old ascalon I wandered around pre sear till I was nearly level 15. lol finally I got recruited into a guild somehow and they rescued me, if not for that I may still have been in pre sear today. lmao!

I remember on my first character @ Presearing, I kept all the Focus items that dropped in my inventory to get the extra energy. Thats 11 months ago now :-D

I did that too. I kept my entire inventory stocked with +3-+5 energy items. I didnt know what energy was, or what it did, or where you could find it on your screens, but man...I had a ton of it.

this was my first and most noobish thing i did: picked up 4 black dyes, put them all in my lvl-4 pre-searing wammo armor. went to post and found out i needed at least 1 more armor change. ever since, i only picked up one black dye, and i have 6 chars now...payback for being a noob =)
