Just curious, of those in Beta, if anyone has abandon the priest class!
With 10/28 Patch, Clerics(Solo) have no way to start Heroic Opp.
With "Minor Ward" and "Minor Regen" gone, this will add a challenge for the duoing/soloing community. I have not noticed any other pre-level 12 classes that have the same hurdle.
I remember at one time that HO was disabled, what a difference that was. Encounters were not impossible(at least at low levels), but just harder.
At higher levels, Clerics will usually if not always be in a group, (a class to start the HO) so this may be moot.
Any thoughts?

Man, it was a nice patch in some ways. They added/fixed a few nice features. However more than half of them don't work correctly. :) One step forward, two steps back.
I heard about a hotfix last night that was to solve a lot of the issues. Haven't played since then so things might be better now. Just scary to think this game is so close to release and how unfinished it is.

That patch was HUGE... a huge nerf to clerics. Not only did we loose our rune & regen spells, we lost our group heals as well as a significant heal reduction on Bestowal of Vitae (which *WAS* da bread&butter way we kept up tanks).
In place they gave us Archhealing (260pt heal spell), which is nice but sure does cost alot of power to cast.
I think the reasoning they're doing this is to create more individuality, more distinction between the priest classes. Personally I didn't like the change but this is beta so im going with it.
The Heroic Opportunity spells that clerics used have changed to new spells.
~ For Rune(ward), that was used in HO, it is now Weakness.
~ For Regen spells, that was used in HO, it is now Combative Faith.
HO still works for us, just different spells activate it now, using the same symbols.

Happy to report, after recent patch (10/31), they restored the healing power of Bestowal of Vitae *grins*!!
I feel less gimped now =P
