Well maybe I was just tired but so far it is just more of the same. Grandville is neat looking but having Super Jump on my level 40 toon it was a challenge to get to the Base Portal. I can’t image what it is like for someone with SS.
All excited to do a new series of missions and finally get out of that COT rut and the Mish is a COT mish. DO’H! I took Black Scorpion as my patron and got some Crey missions. That was better, but my SG teammate wanted some help and there is where his Black Widow/COT mish came in. SOS! I wanted to go back to my low level toons, at least there the COT is not in play yet.
I am sure there is a lot more to Grandville and the mayhem missions, but so far…..
I look forward to the Bishop tearing me up on this one. LOL

ME??? tearing you up??? NAH!!!
I selected Sciroco(sp). I have not had any CoT yet and i'm holding my breath. I'm working on my Stalker atm so I'll be with ya in a bit to help out the VG with missions, etc. on my MM...Be patient with me..lol.

OWWWW! Stop yelling at me Bishop, the pain……..OH THE HUMANITY!
I guess I was hoping for some new surprise baddies, I have not messed with Crey so that was fun fighting against the “Paragon Protector” was like fighting a PVP toon (except they don’t jump around and run and hide)
At least I can turn into a pumpkin……..joy.

I don't know....I ran my first Mayhem Mission last night, I must say that was the most fun I've had since CoV went live.
I finally 'felt' like a villain...smashing things, pounding on cops...big fun. All the temp powers I got plus the awesome XP made it my new favorite thing about the game.
I can't wait to do more of them...

OH YEAH!! I never got that kind of debt either running a Heist before. Those new bank layouts are freakin great! And when you die on those, you go to jail and you literally have to break out of the jail house, fight through the police department and then make your way back to the bank to finish the mission. I got a big rush out of that as well. I'm looking forward to doing many of those. And the timer keeps ticking even after the mission completes to tear up more stuff.

Well I guess I have not gotten there yet, because what you describe there sounds…AWSOME!
How do you get the Havoc and Bank Mish? Are they through the paper?
I know I need to spend more time on it, but just getting the COT Thing right off the bat, well sucked. It was the same aggravating portal map where it was easy to get lost, and spent so much time just trying to find the stuff to “steal”. I think I started to flashback to Hollows mishes in COH. I did Frost Bite until my eyes bled.

LOL. Maybe….Maybe the grass is greener on the Grandville side….
I also noticed a couple of items I did like. For one my SS/INV Brutes “toggles” are no longer shiny and nice, but black and forbidding. I LOVE IT. It also does not make all that annoying “tingly” sounds like it used to.
I also like the flashing buff warning. This has already proven itself invaluable. When my Unstoppable is about to go off (leaving me almost completely helpless) it flashes so I know to get the heck out of dodge.
Another rant if I may, what is the deal with the Tranq dart? Isn’t my level a bit high for that nonsense?
Hopefully the Games Master will be out there ready for action!

They announced that everyone will be getting the origin based power (whether you had it or not, or lost it when you hit lvl10). So use it if needed, if not, take it out of the tray (i don't use it).
GM will make an appearance soon, just keep your head on a swivel.

Yeah I had such a good time...somehow, when Overdrive came in to arrest me in the Bank, she 2 shotted me, so I got to experience the breaking out of jail part...big fun!
I managed to finish 3 side missions before time ran out, and got 2 temp powers and a badge, and enough xp to more than erase the debt and then some.
I wish you could just run those missions without having to go through the whole 'paper' cycle to get to them.

I havent done a Mayhem on live but I basically leveled my thug master mind to 18 just doing newspaper and mayhem missions. Mayhem missions are awesome. Can't wait to do another one.

Okay, here is a follow up.
I did my first “Mayhem Mission” Last night with my level 40 Brute. There were two other members of the team and it went pretty well. Only died twice, but it was towards the end of the time where they seem to release the entire police force after you. I enjoyed the Paragon Police department toons, fighting the Heroes, and the big Mercs. Smashing stuff, knocking citizens high into the air, it was all good.
Now on the second Mayhem Mission I tried it with my level 17 Kinetics Corruptor. There were two others on this one, a MM and a Dominator. Not a good team for that. With the attack powers of a fly swatter and the holding powers it went down hill very quickly. (Plus they decided to go one way, I went the other. While in Jail I was using my incredible attack powers to smash down the reinforced door, I WAS ATTACKED. That is right; through the door the Police department was able to attack me. With their grenades and other attacks. Needless to say I died, inside the cell, and then when I went to the “hospital” I was put into another new cell. I had to start all over again.
Broken, defeated, I sat down in the corner, and wondered what went wrong….

LMAO...that is too funny, however, it can be true. Without experiencing this on the test server, I went in blind as well and took a dirt nap.
The only difference was, I was on my Stalker and when I broke out, I has hidden so I didn't have to fight the big mech boss. I did, however, have to fight my way out of the jail house, because I was ambushed by Longbow and the police guards.
I think this will be spice enough to keep people interested for a while.
