Teaming with ampers

By reading these descriptions of teaming events and stuff, i really want to team with you guys, but it turns out most (or all) of you are on triumph, i feel kinda left out. Lol

we started aa gameamp sg on triumph bc the cov site has their svg on that server youcan have toons on more than one server
justice is my main and i team up on triumph so that i can team with different people
hope that you will join us on triumph and we can have you in the sg!!!

btw i have not seen you around before so welcome

We all created new characters for this group. You are more then willing to roll one up and join the crowd. We would love to have you!

Just join the Gameamp.com global channel and ask if anyone with invite powers are on.

welcome home slice!

and my main is a 30 scrapper on champion, but since i've joined the SG on triumph i think i might hit 50 with my 11 tanker before my 30 scrapper hits 50. i've had so much fun the past week that i dont want to go back to champion.

there is a place to change it in the ingame menu you can only change it once so make sure it is something that you want (i screwed mine up =( i am sammo and i so want it Rainah)
Well i can help u in game later bc i cant remember what the option is maybe handle?

its called change handle or change global handle. this was discussed like 2 days ago and i cant find the thread but do this:

Menu -> Change Global Handle(or something similiar)

a little dialogue box pops up and says enter your new global handle.

but be careful, YOU CAN ONLY CHANGE YOUR HANDLE ONE TIME!

if you already changed it once, your stuck

so if you have a typo, you are stuck with the type

Well...I just wanted to reiterate what everyone else is saying about the SG on Triumph. If you're looking to have a little fun and team with some Ampers, then just jump on over and make an alt. Everyone has a main somewhere else, but we all just like being able to get together and mess around. You're more than welcome to come along. :)

Ya, we're pretty much haveing a good time. In the group or out but still with people from GA.

Last night (on the FF mis that has already been written about...) We had one of our 8 that was not a GA member and had never heard of it. He wanted to join our SG because he was having a good time with the bunch of us. He popped out to the net and registered on GA.

I gota say that ya I have had a good time with pick up teams and have been in some SG's that were really good too but running around with the GAers is the most consistant fun I've yet had in the game.

One of the crack ups is that the jokes and teases extend way beyond the hour or so a pick up team runs. Also everybody is already comfortable with just about everybody so there is much more "going on" than just running to the next mob and wipeing them out. And oh my, put together in a team this bunch makes some of the most efficient killers (arresters?) you will ever see.

All on Victory!

Welcome giles.

As most have already said, just start a toon on Triumph and keep an eye open for one of the staffers.

I am having a blast. Other than my 40-50 run on my main, I didn't spend too much time teaming unless it was neccesary. Simultaneous glowie clicks, and a few badge mishes. Other than that, I preferred to go it alone. It seemed like the teams I joined didn't click well, or had some a few people whose personalities just clashed.

However, since joining th GA SG, it's been nothing but fun (oh, and 1 team wipe with purple mobs, a blue lizzard, 7 vet ampers, and a convert). I am having more fun teaming in the few lvls since starting this toon, that I did on my way to 50 on my main. It's just a blast when you roll with people you are familiar with. And the people know their toons, and they know them well. Put this all together and you get a team that is not inly successful, but is great to play with.

Oh, and btw - did I mention how much fun these teams are?

So roll that toon, and join the SG.

It is great that the Gameamp name is getting out into the COH world. However this could be a double edged sword. I would hate to see people sign up on Gameamp and then never post anything in the Forums. That would make their only reason for signing up to be that they can join the SG.

The SG works well together because we have a great group of members that interact with each other on the Forums and in game. Being active here shows your support of Gameamp and its community.

I want you guys to know that the Staff will not just invite someone because they want to be part of the SG. The SG represents something that each of you members devote your time and efforts to. We want to make sure that the SG community is as great as the Site community.

So if people are interested encourage them to be active in the Site and Forums first.

I gotta agree. When people see the effcent killing machine that is gameamp they will want to join the SG, especially while were plowing through the low lvls. But site activity should deffinately be a requirement.

I suspect but don't actually know, that an issue of activity on the site is really a non issue.

For starters it's pretty easy to lurk on the site, use the resources, and not be brave enough to post anything. I did that before I joined. So just because a person doesn't post doesn't mean they aren't very familliar with GA.

The next thing is if you see the GA teams working well together because we know eachother, and you want to be part of that, you likely want all the rest even if you don't know it yet. I would expect a person who doesn't want to interact with people at the site to not actually want to join the SG either.

So yes I agree we wouldn't want to fill up the site and SG with people who don't want to play, chat, interact at whatever level this all affords, I also suspect it's just really not going to be a problem in the end.

I'd be willing to bet there are plenty of people out there that just don't know this here exists and if they did they would join. The SG just gives one more way that those people learn it's here.

I'm not too worried really. Haven't met an amper yet I haven't liked. Some are more frustrating than others 8P
but none I don't like 8) And I expect the SG will simply help even more lost souls find their tribe.

I would have to say one of the really great things... As a healer I get telled all the time asking to joini a team. They are blind from people I don't know. Everybody needs a healer. Well that's all great and fine and well but when the ampers ask you to join a team it's either because they are doing something they are enjoying and want to offer it to you too (as in the badge hunt we did last night) or they want to play with you (and oh by the way your powers will help too.) It's a whole different feeling right from the invite. I'm sure that's not unique to this group but it's also not common either.

anyone know tierra python is on here? she was in the group with us that got whooped by the council and then i got mapserved so bad my computer almost exploded. but i'm glad to see she joined the SG. i was running my newest potential SG scrapper Big Ugly in the sewers and she was on our team. we had 4 scrappers 2 blasters and 2 trollers(no healers) and made it about halfway into the underworld.

i just wanted to say Hi and I'm glad you joined the SG and site.

yeah and sorry for bailing last night, i got mapserved during my trip back to the hospital and never made it! i was taken from the KR load screen to the login screen and couldnt get back in because i still had a session running. i was kinda peeved!
