I know it probably wont happen in the July module, or probably in the next 3 but I hope they get around to it. I am so wanting an Arcane Archer, have played one many times in PnP but never was able to take the character to its full potential.

They may add them in one of their "future expansions". But hopefully they add more than just one or two in there.

Oh i hope they add more than one myself, the archer is just my personal favorite, I would love to explore a lot more of them as well.
I taste like Peanut Butter.
I am one of the most blendable flavours; I go with sweet, I go with sour, I go with bland, I go with anything. I am practical and good company, but have something of a tendency to hang around when I'm not wanted, unaware that my presence is not welcome. What Flavour Are You?

Yeah there are a few that I'd like to see in. hopefully they will come sooner rather than later, and maybe along with the rest of the classes and races in the PHB. I'd really enjoy rolling up a druid sometime if they do it right.

Having been out of the PnP gaming loop for some time now I'm pretty unfamiliar with prestige classes. I have a couple of characters at level 10 and am working on a couple of others and was just wondering what prestige classes are available and is there any multiclassing required?
I'm aware they may not implement every class but I would like to know if I have gimped my 10th level fighter so that he cannot evolve into a more specialized slayer of baddies.
I don't have access to any new D&D books so a web link would be great!

Some prestige classes can require multiclassing, not always and it would depend on what they would put in, for example the requirements for the Arcane archer mentioned above are:
Elf or half-elf.
Base Attack Bonus
+6.
Feats
Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot, Weapon Focus (longbow or shortbow).
Spells
Ability to cast 1st-level arcane spells.
So you could start as a fighter to get the feats and BAB out of the way quickly and then once that is done take a level of wiz or sorc, to get the arcane. Rangers can cast spells but they are divine so that doesn't count. or you could play a straight wiz or sorc but as an elf you are going to be level 9 before you get the feats out of the way and a whoping level 12 before your BAB gets up to +6 so if you wanted to start as soon as possible multiclassing is the way to go in this case. Sometimes multiclassing would be the worst way for instance the arch mage in PnP has the requirements
Skills
Knowledge (arcana) 15 ranks, Spellcraft 15 ranks.
Feats
Skill Focus (Spellcraft), Spell Focus in two schools of magic.
Spells
Ability to cast 7th-level arcane spells, knowledge of 5th-level or higher spells from at least five schools.
In this case taking anything but Wiz would probably be dumb because as a wiz you aren't casting lvl 7 spells until lvl 13. as a sorc not until 14.
This link has the basic prestige classes listed in the middle of the page, however there are tons, each campaign setting has there own, and there are more than what are shown here, and there isn't much for a straight fighter on here. So until they would start announcing what classes they are putting in I wouldn't be worried, and even then if you wanted to play one of the classes that they might put in, you might want to start from scratch and build around the idea you are going to play that prestige class.

Good question would be, how are they going to do prestige classes where Knowledge (#ofranks) is needed when Knowledge is not included in this game as of yet.

Yeah, that will be interesting as there are lots of them that require ranks in some skill that isn't in the game...
