There has been more and more talk about the weapon attribute (requires X). Some people suggest that by having a lower requirement mixed with a higher amount in that weapon's attribute you have a higher chance of a critical hit.
For a while I used to have a requires 12 sword, and 13 or 14 (depending on the build) in swordsmanship, and according to the guild wiki site, you should critical about 20% of time with those stats ( Critical Hits ).
I now have a requires 8 sword, and I appear to critical a lot more, somewhere around 35% of the time.
Know the only real testing I have done, is with dummies, attack them a number of times, record total hits, and record criticals. I hit them about 50 times. I have switched from 60 armor dummies to 80, to 100. The percentages are about the same, 80 is about 33%, 100 is about 30%.
The question is, do you believe it? is there more real proof of it? or is it just a myth?

i doubt weapon req really has anything to do with it because anet wants to make it so a pve charcant be plain better than a pvp char they give pve more options like dif weps and able to change your armor but they wouldnt do something to allow a pve char to be just plain better by using a req 7-8 weapon when in pvp only 9 is available

i think it's right ye... he req of your weap has nothing to do with the crits though...
but how higher your attribute, the higher your chance on crits^^

Good point, I never thought about that. However, the problem I have with it. Why when I switch from req 12 to 8, I crit more. They are the exact same weapon stats wise.
They are both:
15-22
15% above 50
sunder +20%/20%
armor +7
damage +20%(Customized)
Like I said only difference is req.

i suppose its possible but i think its more likely coincadence it just doesnt really make sence to me lower req would result in more crits.

it probly is true becuase like swardsmanship makes u do more dmg with sword so if u get like a req 6 sword and have 9 or something is swordsmanship then u will do more dmg and if they have alot of armour then u have better dmg if they have low armour then u do more dmg so thats what i think
