Help me pls, I can log on to servers and get to a game however as soon as it starts i can normally choose a weapon then the game freezes up can anyone suggest anything?????

I get that about every third or fourth time i get into a new server. I suspect it is a 1.3 issue.
Try several things. Download and patch with 1.3 full again.
Try updating punkbuster manually with pbsetup. Here is a link for that.....

Cheers Kozmo will try that. i also thought that V1.3 was supposed 2 sort server issues?

yeah its probally your patch or it could be a connection problem, if your using a modem then its most likely your connection or the hardware on your computer is just a little lacking.

I hope they have a quick fix for the 1.3 update. I know numerous people who have issues now with connecting. The same freezing problem you are having (although not every time, seems to be evry couple of times they connect) and random ending of the game and straight to the desktop.
Let us know how you make out.
One quick question....Do you get this on all maps?
I see this alot on the new Armored Fury maps.

I don't have armoured fury, but most maps i have tried freeze up. I have had a couple of ones that threw me back to desktop. Chrres for ur help.

Be sure to use the FULL patch for 1.3
The incremental patches create problems for many people.

It's the full patch i have in. Still having probs though haven'tbeen able to get on at all 2day!

Did you do the manual punkbuster update?
Other options to try.
1. update video drivers to the latest.
2. download and run ad-aware
ad-aware
3. download and run spybot
spybot
4. clean-up and defrag your disk.
keep me posted, we will get this going.

I got the same problem but i got 2 acconts and one is working, to bad thats my old and the new one is not working thats the one i want to play on :(
It does not really freeze i just cant do anything but i see that ppl are playing and flags are getting captured.
