How do u know when you dealt with a sundering attack? And does +15while attacking armor stacks?

How do you know when you attack with a sundering? like... your weapon has a 20/20 sundering... how do you know when you penetrate your enemies? does it say on the top of your char's head or what?

Also, you know the assassin's armor I think its called The Nightstalker, and it has bonuses like +15 armor while attacking... Do they stack? Like... If i put that armor on chest and put armor on Legs and put armor on shoes, so does it have like +45armor while attacking or still +15 armor while attacking???

thanks

The only way you can tell is by noticing when you do higher damage than normal. Critical hits you can see when an orange circle appears on the foe.

Armor doesn't stack. Sentinel's armor doesn't mean that you have 500AL. It's locational. If you have the +15AL on the chest, but you get hit in the legs, the chest does nothing.

How does the game recognise if you get hit in the legs or arms or whatever? All attack graphics seem to hit in the chest. Would boot +armor apply to only skills that effect your feet such as Traps?

I'm so confused :p

No, it's a percentage calculation. There is a percentage chance tied to each piece of armor.

* Head - 12.5% of physical attacks (this goes up if the enemy is on higher ground than you.)
* Chest - 37.5% of physical attacks, as well as all direct damage spells.
* Hands/Feet - 12.5% of physical attacks (each) or 25% total.
* Legs - 25% of physical attacks.

Guild Wars has no Z-axis, no vertical plane. So getting hit with a spell like Eruption can hit anywhere, having boots vs Earth won't make much of a difference. There's a chance that boots vs Earth can help, but only if it hits that specific armor.

How about the -2 damage from Knights armor, everyone insists that if you are wearing a single piece the -2 absorption is global.......

is there any truth to that ?

I believe Julia or someone has proven this to be true, however, Anet has said that it is a glitch that they never fixed. It's similar to the old Bloodstained Boots, just a glitch that's on their list.

I'm guessing that once Anet catches up on their list, the absorption stats from Knights' armor will no longer be global.
