With the release of Factions which included the following:
* New weapon skins
* New storyline
* New quests
* New Armor stats
* New mobs and creature types
Some players haven't purchased Factions that do play the Prophecies Campaign for various reasons. Examples are financial situation where they cannot afford to purchase Factions, not interested in purchasing and playing Factions until the completion of Prophecies, and unable to play through a second campaign until a later date due to real life commitments.
1. Best scenario would be to add a new area like Sorrow's Furnace with new mobs, quests, and weapons.
2. Next best scenario would be the addition of new skins for weapons in Tyria. This would give Tyrians something to remotivate interest with the inclusion of new skins from Cantha.
3. The modification of stats for weapons in Tyria the would be comparable to the stats for new weapons from Cantha.
4. The modification of armour in Tyria to reflect the armour stats from Cantha.
5. Some new quests with mini storylines like that in Sorrow's Furnace.
These are just some quick ideas to retain the interest of those that play the Prophecies Campaign that are unable to play Factions at this time. Let the current player base know that they are still important in the eyes of Anet. Not only the player base the buys the expansion Campaigns.
Let me know what you think and show some sort of justification for your viewpoints.
Changes that have been recommended:
1. Auction house.
2. Bigger storage.
3. Guild storage.
4. Updating old armors (Dragon, Platemail, etc) from 80/85 to 90.
5. Updating Sundering weapons from 10/10 to 20/20.
6. Add Catacomb content to post sear
7. Add high level content explorable area to Factions
8. Include crossover quests that take characters between campaigns.
9. Add new content where the Kingdom of Orr once existed.
10. Add Druid's of Maguuma storyline.
11. Add new content north of Maguuma.

Ehhh? Like what? A fishing mini-game?
It's sunk beneath the sea...
I can't find it in myself to agree with any of your points, with the possible exception of your globally implementable features such as Auction house and Guild Storage.
It's ridiculous to expect ArenaNet to throw money into a campaign a year after release. And that's what all this extra this, extra that means. ArenaNet dedicating people to do that.
I'd be happy if they just keep fixing bugs in that campaign.
If (and that's a big if) ArenaNet keeps up their 6 months update cycle (they missed one half-year mark so far) and keeps the price at $40 I don't really see the financial situation problem either. That's less than $6,- per month. Sorry, but that's an amount that should be feasible for any household capable of supporting a Guild Wars capable computer and monthly internet subscription.

I think Orr might be interesting enough to dedicate an entire chapter to..
The sunken city... Instead of killing a final boss the goal could be rising Orr from the depts of the sea..
Anyway, Orr will be dealt with in new campaigns I hope..
Such a big world with entirely new content can be found in those two words: sunken city..
/imagination overload

Firstly Welcome to the forums! and a great first post, raises alot of interesting ideas and questions.
Expanding on the storyline with a few simple quests that helped link the continents together would be a good idea without making them quests that physicaly link the two. At the moment the only common ground seems to be Mhenlo turning up alot making it feel heavily divorced from the plot of the first campaign.
Gwen had become such a cult figure I think Anet would rekindle alot of interest amongst players by expanding on her future just a little too, have her turn up or plant some clues around Tyria, hint she may turn up in future campaigns, provide little trinkets and create quests that uncover little snippets of info that keep everybody guessing...
As for cost to Anet - Im no expert but I'm sure utilising whats already there and spending some time on developing a little extra story line wouldnt be that expensive? Or would it? I dont know...
Something should be done IMO to keep Prophecies players interest if they havent bought or enjoyed Factions. I know we have alot of members here who don't own Factions and I also think we now have plenty of Factions owners who don't own Prophecies either, generating something in Prophecies would encourage interest to those who dont have it and keep the loyal prophecies players around for the next chapter, it's a good idea in my eyes.

prophecies is a better game anyways so all they need to do is make the armors in it more up to date imo
please leave me some credibility :) thank you

I like to see anet expand on the area of earning coins. Believe me or not this is one area need to have major overhaul, people who started playing guild wars without friends end up quitting the game within few weeks or less.
Getting armors required three things 2 crafting materials and coins so is the weapon. Yes, monsters drop items but have your try selling them you barely get anything out of it. And player don’t get any good drops until they reach yak bend and up. Without the skills like runes cape and Wow, where you can raise your skill level to make better stuff and sell you’re on the mercy of friends and stranger to help you on guild wars.
Unless you have extra money and you can afford to buy stuff from a web site that’s another story: P

IMO Factions was a waste of my £30 ($40), the only really fun part is the 12v12 PvP arena. I use very few of the new skills and I rarely replay the missions where as with prophecies I will go back and do missions with different builds just to see how it works. 7/10 chars (2 accounts for proph & 1 fac) are at RoF, I deleted my assassin because I got bored with it and I can't be bothered with my Rt, I started a new mesmer in Factions but again....yawn. At the mo I'm trying to get as many titles for Tyria as I can such as Explorer, Protector, etc.
If ANet do anything they should work on putting the playability back into the 3rd GW release. If I choose to I should be able to fight through to Cavalon at lvl 10 as I did to LA with my first Proph char, I should be able to go wondering through the hills and find alternate routes to distant outposts without some damn door blocking my way and being forced to follow some linear plot line. Getting to lvl 20 should be something you accomplish and not something thats a given through 5000xp quests, I put so much more effort into my first chars to scrape them up to lvl 20 by the time I got to Sanctum Cay. And all this about stopping people running to Droks when in Factions you get max armour from the moment you set foot on the mainland...wtf?
Anyway I'm ranting...again...
I guess what I'm saying is that ANet put so much effort into stopping people running or farming or using their initiative to get ahead that they took all the fun out of exploring.
Prophecies is way more re-playable than factions and I'd rather help new guildies through THK again and again than do that damn hatchery mission one more time!

If a-net did add stuff to the prophecies campaign no one would buy factions. a-net does need 2 make a prophet...

The justification in any of these additions to previous campaigns (currently only Prophecies) is so the players that love and prefer the earlier campaign do not feel as if they are left out and forgotten.
The business aspect of this also encourages players who have only purchased the most recent campaign may be encouraged through the robust and continuing content to purchase earlier campaigns.
A bit of work - but in the end this is a Win/Win scenario for players and Anet.

Well, that's just the thing, it doesn't work like that.
Don't think that just because Gaile Gray says so that ANet actually want to give us everything with this game that we'd like.
In the best scenario the Guild Wars team is indeed interesting in satisfying the player, but they're only a part of a company, and in the end they don't make decisions.
ANet in it's entirety doesn't care about what we like or don't like or any bull, they just care about the money and in order to get our money they gotta give us something we like which is indeed a bit of a negative detail.
Surely, if Tyria would be all empty it would be no good for the game, so saying that the players there are of no importantce is a tad bit too much, but a few less there will hardly get noticed and in the end the players that didn't buy Factions but do keep connected to ANet's servers are just a burdain for the most part.
