Yes, it is true. I am saying goodbye to COV/COH. Issue 7 has some neat features (mayhem missions) but the way the bosses and Elite bosses are impossible to solo, and hard enough to do with a team. The other day I tried two help when two teams of 8 were taking on Deathsurge. The lowest we got his health was down maybe ¼ bar. A few seconds later he was at full health again. On a mish with my Brute and a stalker, we were repeatedly crushed buy the baddies on that mish (can’t remember the name but the dudes with the big merchs, and sappers). That gets old real quick, oh and that was on the lowest setting as well.
I have been messing with the game for over a year and have grown weary of it. It is summer and my honey-do has piled up. I want to thank everyone on this forum for helping me along on my journey. This site is great, please keep it up.
Oh side story I had over 2,000,000 in infamy on my level 40 so I went to Mercy to give it away. I was stunned by how many people did not take advantage of it. I also had one dude ask how much he was going to get, as he did not want to run all the way back to Kalinda for it. I responded, “dude, it is free, what more do you want!?!?” I gave away 75,000-99,000 chunks until it was gone. I hope that will help people get a head start.
I have been doing that will all my alts before I delete them. I don’t want to see that stuff wasted.

Sorry to hear you go, but I've already heard talk on the main boards that the EB/AV/Monster increase was too drastic. Elite Bosses should be solo-able with a tough fight. That's the reason the devs made the AV -> Elite Boss change. Hopefully they're realize their folly and change it back or at least balance it.
To think, the main reason they upped the power of EBs and AVs was because of the nitwits that were constantly farming Barracuda missions. Thanks again, Powerlevelers.

Kaliace, say it isn't so!!!! You are leaving the game???? Well, I wouldn't delete those toons just yet. Keep them there, they'll be there just in case you get the itch to jump back in it.
As for the GM and AV/Heroes, this issue has already been addressed and it was stated that they were going to tone them down by 80% which would make them more doable.
If you do nothing else, stay in touch with us here and we'll keep you updated when the changes are made so you can come back to the villainy to test the waters yet again.

But seriously. They are rolling back the changes they made to AV/GM's. I have the post from Positron on it in another thread. They are going to make it a buff to GM/AV's but only 20% of what it is now. Give it til the next patch before you leave. PLEEEEEEEEEEEZ!
