I love to do grilled veggies but I really like a good burger or a nice cut of steak. I try to stay away from doing chicken, the handling of raw poultry or the unproper cooking of chicken during this kind of weather can lead to trouble & the last thing you want is all your guests to get sick. Oh grilled shrimp is awesome!

Perfect weather? It was raining this morning in northwestern PA. :)
Well, I don't grill (don't have one yet), but gimme a good ol' hamburger anyday, or maybe a grilled steak. Yum!

Hmm, nope, but I've had it cooked over a fire still in the husks, that was awesome!

It's nice and nasty in Pittsburgh today too. But nothing beats a grilled burger with onions. Mayby some babyback ribs to go with it.

Corn on the cob in foil is the best. I swab a lil butter on them before wrapping the foil.
Two items that I cook a lot on the grill and sure fire way to 'aroma-gate' the neighborhood are filet minons and baby back ribs.
Although they're the more high dollar options, the filets are deliciously hold flavor well, are a leaner cut of beef, and its not necessary to trim the fat.
I'd recommend roasting baby backs before placing them on the grill... they're more tender and the meat literally falls off the bone.
Honorable mention go to thin sliced chicken breasts and turkey patties... easy, quick, and tasty pending how marinated.

Wow, you all are making me hungry!
I like to cook as much of the meal on the grill as possible. Slice up some pork tenderloin and flavor with just a bit of seasoned salt. I really like to cook corn-on-the-cob on the grill. Leave the husks on, soak in water for a bit before putting on the grill -- the corn steams right in the husk. Also, for other veggies, like asparagus, make a foil packet, put in the veggies, butter, garlic, close it up tight and poke a couple of small holes for steam to escape.
Mmmmmm.....

YES!!
then again, all veggies to me, you take them perfectly ripened, season them just right (10% less than a lethal dose of salt is 'right'.), then fired 'em on the grill in tinfoil till they turn just a little bit brown on the edges.... mmmmm
and as far as meats... ya cant go wrong!
were rednecks, and occasionally my dad has been known to 'beer batter' and the redneck saying i would like to share with you all right now is "Step one: open three beers. poor two into the pan, and drink the third".

Ok... This is not the post to read before breakfast!
As for what my favorite food to cook on the grill... it seems a trick question... if we are talking my favorite food to COOK, I would have to say steak. I pride myself on my grill marks *grin* (perfect diamonds!).
But my favorite food to EAT from the grill would have to be shrimp. It is just such a pain to cook correctly I would much rather someone else cook it.
And how we always grilled our corn on the cob was leave it in the husk, but butter the inside of the husk before you wrap it in the foil. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Whenever I have a BBQ its always kebabs and spare ribs. My dad burns anything else to a crisp and it isn't much fun eating ash.

Now I want BBQ for lunch today.
Salmon on a cedar plank gets my vote for great grill food. But you can never go wrong with a good steak.

Eating the wood might be a bit crucnchy.
The wood provides a bit of a smokey flavor to the salmon as it chars in the heat of the grill. You just have to make sure that it doesn't catch on fire : )

When people say barbecue, I don't really think of grilling. I start thinking of pulled pork with a nice tangy sauce. That's good southern eating. Mmmmmm...
The best thing on a grill is, and always will be, a huge, juicy steak. I prefer sirloins and N.Y. strips.
