I've heard some rumors going around of a Warcraft Movie. I have no clue what it's going to be about... (Well obviously it's going to be about Warcraft) but I don't know what the story will be about.
Have any of you heard about it?

Wow. You did an awesome job finding that interview, LoL. That really cleared up a lot of rumors spreading around about it. At least we know for a fact that it is going to be made... of course it could be cancelled, but I doubt that will happen.
I thought it was interesting that he said he wanted it to be like Braveheart. That is definately a good choice to get some inspiration from. I went straight to Lord of the Rings because I figured that would be what it would be like anyway, with all the similar fantasy creatures and all. Since I think they're trying to focus more on Braveheart, I think they should have an intro like Lord of the Rings that explains what already happened in all 4 Warcraft games before. That would be very cool. It's going to be weird seeing real people play these roles. LoL.

eh the main characters will more than likely be human...

Well not necessarily... there might be some Undead heroes, like Arthas obviously. LoL. Not to mention Night Elves and Blood Elves will be real actors I assume. Don't really know about Orcs though.

I really hope it dose not glorify the alliance as good guys and horde as bad that would really piss me off.

I hope the movie doesnt turn into something geeky like star wars and we'll be classified as the next version of star wars geeks if we play it.dunno..im a geek but not that kind...

I doubt they will do that. Allthough if the movie is from the alliance point of they might...

Game movies always suck becuase they try to recreate the game on screen. I think they are on the right track with just making a movie within the Warcraft World. It might turn out to be an awesome movie.

LoL I wish they would've done that when they made the first Final Fantasy movie! It was total blashpemy, nothing to do with the Final Fantasies. Only afterwards they made a some Final Fantasy 7 related movie which was totally awesome but they only released it on DVD and the dvd can be a pain to find...
Lol sorry for getting off topic. :P
Back to topic. I don't understand why would they make either of the two factions to stand out more as that would obviously made the either of the faction supporters mad. :P

The movie wont be a CGI movie. it would be like Sky Captain and the world of tomorrow kind of, Human actors and the things around it are like CGI and the actors interact with them. but a CGI Warcraft movie would be great if it looked like the WoW intro Video!

I think we're safe. I don't think Uwe Boll will be directing this one.
In the gamespot interview Paul Sams says:
