i know this is a stupid question but im new to the game.
could anyone plz tell me how to get rid of customized or starter items that i cant sell, salvage, and i cant figure out how to drop or destroy it.

There is a trash bin beside your bags, just drag the item over to it.

Hi, you got two choices either jus drop it on ground when your out of town, or open up your inventory and between the storage and armour disply it shows your bags etc, at the end is a bin can put item in it to destroy it. Hope this helps

there is a trash can in your inventory next to your bags, drag it there.

To drop them, walk out of town, click on the item in your inventory, and drag it outside the inventory box.
If you want to destroy an item, look above your inventory box when you hit "I" but below your character view. There will be a picture of your backpack on the left side, then the Belt Pouch slot to the right of that, 2 Bag slots to the right of THAT (these are where you put the belt pouch or bags when you get the, by the way), and then on the left side there will be a little gray recycle bin-looking thing. Just take the item and drag it into there and it will ask you if you want to destroy it. Answer yes, and the item will be... no more.
