What tunes do you fight crime too?

Ahoy!

I'm quite curious. What tunes does everyone groove to whilst whipping the local hellions and skuls into shape? Or even you local CoT if you happen to be that venturous at the time.

Or even what's your favorite song? I must know! It's all for.... scientific...research. Yes, we will call it that. Scientific... research.

Edit: Or even better yet, what if you had a radio show tuned in to groove to tunes to whilst fighting crime? What would you listen to then?

Hang on... I'll keep adding more questions at some point. Just remember. Scientific..... research.

I play a lot of Flogging Molly, Real McKenzies, Mighty Bosstones or any Ska music. Punk,Metal & Thrash, will even switch to Classical or jazz depending on my mood. Sometimes I just put on the XM radio & listen to a talk show while playing.

As I am sure you know. I usually play to the tunes of my daughter playing her 4 key piano while she sings to us.

It sounds mostly like someone hitting a baby with a cat......

and i listen to movies on tv while i play so i can throw random quotes to the SG chat line like "it puts the lotion on the skin or it gets the hose again!" or "STAY OUT DA BUSHES!"

I think I'm the only person in the world who actually listens to the ingame music. I never have any programs running in the background when I play (any games). I like listening to the game.

No, jeni, not the only one..
I have so much going on all the time, at home, at work, whatever, when I play, it's regualr background music or even sometimes I'll go with no sound what-so-ever just to bask in the glorious silence..

Well geez I guess I'm old school and stick to the older bands, like Metallica,Megadeth,Anthrax,Danzig,Slayer,Fear Factory,Misfits,Black Flag,Pantera,and some newer acts like Black Label Society,Trivium,Slipknot,and Lacuna Coil. Oh btw this would be my 1st post on gameamp, and I'm looking forward to being around for awhile, this seems like a very cool group here.

I have ripped music from dozens of movie soundtracks. For those epic battles, I can hit a playlist with nothing but the battle music. There's nothing like fighting off hundreds of Clockwork to the same music as the final battle between Spider Man and the Green Goblin.

Right now, one of my toons is dancing under Atlas while I listen to Robin and Linda Williams singing on Praerie Home Companion.

For some reason, Barry Manilo's 'I write the songs' while I PvP.

Puscifer-The undetaker from Underworld 2 soundtrack, again while PvP'ing

Mozart-Hmmmm, while PvP'ing as well.... There is something about mass killing and classical that gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

Just remember, if I take you down in PvP, "I write the songs.........Damnit!" =P

Actually, I used to just listen to the in game music when I started playing. However, the music kinda got bland to me after a while so I just played with no sounds... what so ever. Now that I started up my radio station, I listen to it, but it made me wonder what everyone else listens too when they play the game.

So, the whole scientific research thing. I've been thinking about doing some things with my station so I wanted to get an idea of what the average gamer listens to. Of course, now if I could only keep the monkey's inside the freezer I might have some solid scientific data to back up my insanity with.

Theres a group I just got recently turned onto that I cant stop listening to while im baddie bashing. They are called Nightwish and its like trans siberia orchestra with a gothic operatic female vocalist. Their music provides some serious atmosphere When I'm having an all out throwdown with the malta, carnies, ect. Other tunes on my "Feeeding it to you with a slingshot mix" arsenal are Godsmack,Lacuna Coil, KMFDM,Disturbed,flogging molly,Cradle of filth, lots of OZZY, and more Nightwish (I swear its the stuff ppl make coh videos with. if anyone has seen the return of the phantom soldier coh video youll understand what I'm talking about)

The only way to roll in CoH for me is with my beloved sirius sattellite radio. i mostly listen to comedy, but i sometimes listen to music, and it varies by the day, since i can pick from anything i want

I always listen to the sounds an music in game. It really takes away from the atmosphere and immersion for me if I try to listen to anything else.

Definately have to have Ride the Lightning in my music line up. Just wouldn't be right to play Thundar without it!

Most of the time it's just the game soundtrack. I use Ventrillo a lot with my main SG, so if I'm jamming, I can't hear. That, and I play while the GF sleeps, so that also limits my music laden game time. But when it's a Vent-free evening, I have some nasty industrial metal and stuff on mix CDs. Some of my most heart pumping, butt kikkin evenings have been when I can jamm out!
