Game problems

OK so issue 7 has been live for about a month now and i m seeing no signs of the bugs being worked out i am still seeing and hearing players with lag so bad they cant play the game constant crashes and of course the annoying memory leak.... you would think since not only did we pay for the instalation disk we are also paying a monthly fee that they would give us a game with at lease semi decent quality. but nope same problems and new ones found every da.... they give us work arounds but why not fix there dam client so we dont need work around for things that SHOULD NEVER have been there in the first place ( deep exhale) sorry just bothere me that there is SO MANY bugs in the game and it appears that they are doing nothing about them. i7 should have never been brought live when these problems were reported when it was on test.

RE: Game problems

It's frustrating but I would bet they are working pretty hard too. You simply cannot work out all the bugs in alot of systems until you go live. Not makeing excuses for them because I don't think they need them. I really am sure they are working pretty hard to clean up the troubles.

I've been soloing alot because of the lag issues myself. So I'm not immune to the frustration. I just also run a computer ap that manages connectivity across the country and I know even when it looks to the users like nothing is happening about problems alot os really happening they cannot see.

RE: Game problems

I'm not chastising you for venting. You and I are in exactly the same place. My new computer was bought just this year. They have the problem and they will need to fix it. Don't jump through the hoops because you already know they aren't the problem. The guys responding to you aren't even the ones busy trying to fix things.

It's frustrating but my advice for this is (and you might assume I'm already doing it) is every hour and a half or so I bounce my machine. Annoying, yes. Working? YES. 8)

Sometimes it takes a bit for them to get all the bugs out. They have a lot of petitions to deal w/ right after a new patch, and when there are bugs like this there are even more.

The work around they give us are for us to use while waiting for them to fix the problems. And I guarentee they are working on these problems, some may not have a quick easy fix.

RE: Game problems

but thing once again is with memory leaks reported while it was on test and all the crash issues and the known server instabilty should have been fixed BEFORE going live as it is this is a month later and these are HUGE bugs and if they would just inform people that they are working on the problem when they submit a pettion or a bug report instead of jerking us around. i mean when i send a bug report and they responde

"Thank you for contacting the PlayNC Support team regarding this issue. I am escalating your ticket to a technical support representative to further assist you. We understand this issue may not be a direct result of a system error, but our technical support team will be better able to assist you in resolving this incident. Please respond with a detailed description of the issue you are experiencing"

and then just keep giving me dinfrent GM's and making me do the SAME dxdiag over and over and over.....i have done the SAME test for ONE petetion 9 times

and they responde with the same thing every time try defragmented my hard drive and disabling all start up items.... a computer with the resoces of mine really shoudent need to do this but i do it just to see and surprise surprise NO CHANGE

i just feel like the tech people are shafting me trying to cover there own ass's for releaseing an unstable client. i know if i gave one of my clients a Incorrect statement or spending report. i would take immediate action to correct the problem APPOLOGISE to them for the incovience and odds are give them something to compensate for the time they had to wait for a correction.

You do know that when you send a petition you get a automated response. And you will continue to get an automated response until it gets escliated to the point where an actual person can answer you? As for the memory leak, well CoH has had a memory leak for a VERY long time. It seems that I7 just made it worse.

Well, why not, if it helps them.

'Start' > 'Run' > "dxdiag" > when it's done collecting all info: 'Save All Information...' and mail them the file.

yes but doing it nine times for one petition is insane i wouldent have a problem doing it once but to just keep making me do it over and over is torture. i work 60+ hours a week and i would like during my down time to play the game not keep sending dx reports

Since it's on the same petition, there's no reason to keep running the diagnostic every time they ask for one. If nothing has changed, just send them the same one again. Keep it saved in case they ask for another copy, then run another one only after you download a patch or you upgrade your system.

re

From my experience with MMORPGS and the updates in them I7 is far by the crappiest piece of work I've ever had to deal with.

I don't know how it was with the eariler Issues as I came after I6 but still. it's already been few weeks since the release of I7 and the game still works like like a donkey in music store.

I just can't understand how could they release such an unfinished update? I know players might've given the devs some pressure but if so, they shouldn't have told about I7 in such an early stage.
I think the reason they go shouting about updates so early is that bored players know that there's something new coming and they'll stick for a while longer but for me it just doesn't work.
I'm only a poor student, so poor that half of my monthly incomes go to the subscription fee of CoV and now I've paid for a month that I haven't been able to play due to all of the bugs, crashes and lag.

Currently I'm wondering if I should move over to WoW from CoV. I just hope I didn't/will cause any problems for my villain groupies though. They're such a great bunch of peeps. ><
