| What is it that you're waiting for the most in LOTR Online? |

Well hellos to everyone! ^^
Forums need threads so I thought I post one here! :D
So, as the topic says:
What is that you're looking forward to in LOTR Online?
I haven't heard or seen much about this game but I thought I might give those eager LOTR fans something to work on while waiting for the game to come out. :)
The thing that I *would've* wanted to see was playable evil races like Orcs and stuff. :P

What I am waiting for most..
Since I am Huge LOTR fan, I wont be able to miss this.
In Almost every MMORPG, you get to costomize your character, with his armor and profession.
I'm looking forward to customizing my own unique LOTRO character, Including Making my own suit of armor, or maybe just a simple cloak, if it is available.
I cannot wait to see what the characters look like.

I didn't know LOTRO had such character customization possibilities! O.o
I thought it was like a few faces and a hairstyle and that's it :P

It is almost a certainty that armor customization will not be able to be done at character generation. You may be able to get some starting armor, but I doubt that you will be able to customize it.
As far as the avatar itself, this next quote comes from Jeffrey Steefel himself from an interview with ogaming.com

The weapons and armor customization will be done once a character advances through the levels of smithing or by buying custom armor from someone who can make it.

well lol lord of the rings is the best thing that happened to this century.. even though tolkien wrote it almost 100 years ago..
Another thing I am waiting for the most is simply playing the game. The Lord of the Rings is an amazing series that will carry on forever and bringing tolkiens great work into a game is AWESOME.

I thought LOTR was written somewhere around the time when WW2 took place? O.o
Well I like LOTR and all but I'm not huge fan though I think he's the big daddy of all Fantasy stories. ^^

You're right xaviak but the hobbit was written in his younger ages and he didn't even plan on it being published.
The hobbit isn't part of the LOTR series but it starts it.
What I meant to say is that the hobbit was written nearly 100 years ago :)

The Hobbit was written in the late 1920's..so about 80 years ago.. but that's close enough to a century... the Lord of the Rings was written in phases between '37 and '49.
Just FYI
EDIT: The Hobbit was actually published in '37 or '38... can't remember which... figured I'd keep things from getting confusing :)

What I look forward to the most is seeing how expansive the game actually is. I like the thought of travelling long distances to get from point A to point B. I can't wait to actually see Lake Nenuial, Imladris, Bag End, and The Green Dragon.

I think It'd have to be relating all the different places to my experiences in New Zealand, the books, the tapes, and the films. =)
Although I also look forward to trying to master the pvp game. =)

In the closed beta I found that many people were into the RP aspect of the game, so I'm looking forward to that.
I'm also looking forward to the storyline quests and adventuring in Middle Earth.

Welcome to the site Dagrodas, and I agree Im looking for the quest and seeing the sites of Middle Earth. Have read the books (Trilogy, Hobbit, some of Silmarillion, and other tales) and it will be great to be able to explore the world of Middle Earth. The farthest I have been in-game was Weather-top, Old Forest, and Barrow-Downs (well most notable). Never had money to ride to Rivendell.
Also I am looking forward to really trying out Monster Play, and exploring that side of the game.

tbh im looking forward to the full game since i used to be a extreme gamer in guildwars for around 2 years and then the game got repetative so im thinking with all these new updates and the customizations and the PvMP ( player vs monster player ) will be a nice change for myself and im sure many more. thanks cam

I actually got into some of the MP the other day and had some fun, there wasnt many people in there but the few that were had some fun talking it up.
So I think since it is such an unique feature I am looking to try out some of PvMP. The area isnt very large but it reminds me of Alterac Valley in WoW. Open zone pvp with missions and NPC assistance.
Add to this Im looking forward to some of the later Raids of the game.
