OKay... so I've got an Abit LC7-G motherboard.
I know it's got the traditional AGP slot but how do I tell if it's PCI-Express compatable? (If at all)
Reason being is that I truly want to get an Nvidia geforce 6600 GT (most bang for the buck and my video card is dying, I swear). Also, I can't find an AGP version of this card ANYwhere. Only the PCI-express
Anyone out there with tech knowledge care to help me out?

Unless the motherboard is BRAND new then it is not PCI express. That is just now really hitting the market and is still relatively expensive.
That particular card seems to only be available as a PCI express card.
I don't know your processor so I cannot recommend a new motherboard that would be compatible with your RAM.

Oh yeah there are still tons of AGP cards out there and the highest end GeForce card (the 6800 Ultra $400+) is AGP.
I have been watching PCI-E for months now and am simply waiting for the prices to drop and a better selection of 2nd generation motherboards to hit the market. It will mean rebuilding my system completely from scratch which tends to get pricey given my tastes.
((A quick search shows PCI-E MoBos running approx 130-200+))

Well your gonna have to take a look at your motherboard to figure this out. PCI-Express Slots are much shorter than regular PCI slots and they have different pin counts. So if you can look at an older motherboard to get a comparsion that would probably help you figure that out.

I didn't find any information about a Abit LC7-G. Did you mean IC7-G? If so, then it has no PCI Express slots, it's about a year older than the first PCI Express motherboards.

nope. wont have pci-e unlees its less than 3 months old, roughly. and agp cards will be around for a while, cause pci-e isn't very popular for some reason.

Yah... I noticed the whole PCI-Express thing seemed really new to me. I'm hoping Nvidia releases an AGP version of the GeForce 6600 card because at a performance price of 150-200 American dollars...it's a steal. I read Nvidia has a PCI-Express -> AGP bridge planned for the card and should be released "soon"... just wish I knew how soon, "soon" is.
